Fleur came to the house a couple of times to discuss layouts and ideas for my dining room, kitchen, master bedroom, bathroom and living room. She provided a scheme for the living room with furniture/decor suggestions, and we visited a trade showroom to sit in and discuss styles and sizes of sofas, to narrow down a design that would work for us. Fleur was the interior designer for our whole house rebuild and refurb. She was involved from before the building and refurb works started and until we moved in after 14 months of works. Fleur immediately understood and intuited our families vibe and how we wanted to live and was a perfect fit for us as a family who loves pattern, colours, texture and art. She proposed schemes that were stylish and high-end design concepts whilst also encompassing fun and life as well as beautiful textures and accents. Each room has a distinct character whilst being part of a cohesive whole. Fleur was involved at all stages- electrical plans, bathroom and kitchen designs, whole room layout and decorative schemes. She liaised with the builders/ electricians/ plumbers/ decorators in a timely manner so that everything progressed smoothly, Fleur understood the importance of budget and gave us options as well as making tweaks expertly and patiently when budgetary constraints inevitably hit as the build went on. She made changes without compromising overall style and vision. Fleur extended our vision and experience with regards to colours/ textures/ fabrics and the finishes are superb. The last couple of months of our project were in the first lockdown of Covid and Fleur negotiated supply issues, needing to change contractors (eg upholsterers, carpet suppliers) with great determination and tenacity. When some contractors couldn’t fulfil orders due to covid she found alternatives and made sure we didn’t lose deposits and also no significant delays occurred. We have a home that is our sanctuary and which is beautiful as well as comforting and stylish as well as inviting and sociable and fit for purpose for a busy family of 5. Fleur was very proactive from the outset and went to great lengths to discuss our needs and pitch design concepts that were relevant to our coffee shop. She guided us every step of the way, was reliable and an excellent communicator. Despite some unexpected setbacks and delays with other aspects of the project she remained flexible and open to resolution.
