Five Star Helpers

This was Summit’s first experience staying away from home so we really wanted to find her a place to stay where she would be well taken care of and we wouldn’t have to worry about her. Five Star Helpers exceeded our expectations! Shane and Janine took such great care of Summit and we knew this from all the video and photo updates we received while we were away. Summit has a lot of energy, loves to play and be outside. Shane and Janine took her on daily walks, provided some training and Summit had ample play time with the other pups. They are dedicated, responsible and caring and I would absolutely recommend them if your pooch needs a place to stay. Thank you so much! More...

I feel very fortunate to have found Janine at Five Star Helpers. I have two special needs dogs and Janine has gone out of her way to accommodate us and all their needs. She stays in our home with them which gives me peace of mind as I know they are comfortable here and she sticks to their routine and schedule. I love our daily updates and photos and videos as we miss them so much when we are away but I know that they are very well taken care of. We have a seven year old mastiff that has had good experiences at local kennel style boarding places. For us, trying Five Star Helpers was a chance to see if their personal care and attention was a better experience. Firstly, their fees were the same as the boarding kennel we used. Then there was the introduction and information gathering - Shane & Janine were attentive and interested in the details of his personality and routines. The difference in this level of attention was significant. But what really was mind blowing was the care they gave to our dog. They were so keenly engaged in his daily routines and needs. They sent frequent photos and video of his daily activities. They were thoughtful and generous in their time and attention. They have won us over and our dog will be a regular guest. Our old dog even wanted to learn a few new tricks for them while we were away. We feel fortunate to have found their services, they are terrific people offering genuine service. More...

Janine and Shane took such great care of our pitbull Archie while we were out of town. He clearly enjoyed his stay, and we enjoyed receiving (seriously) amazing photo and video updates of his adventures over the weekend. He visited various dog parks and got to take naps all over their welcoming home.

Archie is known for being a giant lap dog, and was clearly very well loved and cared for while we were away. He takes epilepsy medication and Janine and Shane not only assured us they were confident in dealing with an episode, should it occur; they also took great responsibility in administering medication daily. When he was picked up he had been freshly bathed, and left with a lovely gift bag filled with treats and a squeaker toy (his favorite!)

We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Five Star Helpers to anyone looking for dog sitting services in Calgary. Archie can't wait to go back! More...
