Favorite pub downtown, was in town for a reunion and came her with my brother and sister. Had an awesome time watching football and catching up. I had a bourbon mule and sis liked it and wanted one, but didn't really need one, so we just gave her a ginger beer and told her it tasted different because it was a moscow mule. Pros: We got in easily for an early Saturday dinner. The staff was super friendly and checked on us a lot. There are TVs in the booths which is probably great when it's not the offseason. The food was pretty good, my wife LOVED her chicken bacon wrap and my tacos were good. The kids food was pretty standard.Cons: I ordered two beers off the menu and both times she came back to say they didn't have it so it took me three times ordering a drink to get one. My biggest complaint/feedback is to note on the kids menu that the Kid's Grilled Cheese is on Rye bread!? That's not typically a type of bread kids would like so I think it should be noted on the menu.All in all we enjoyed it. Probably 3.5 stars but because my wife liked hers so much and the staff was great I'm going 4 stars. More...

An affordable pub with all sorts of good food and a nice atmosphere. Often there is live music playing, and they'll validate your parking if you park in the Wake Forest garage. This is a nice bar/restaurant to go to. The place was clean and tidy, the bathrooms were neat as well. For a Saturday evening at 5pm the place was packed and busy. The waiters are super nice and helpful. Once we ordered it took about 10 minutes for the food to come out and it was good. I opted for the Bourbon glazed Salmon entree with mashed sweet potatoes and apple fennel slaw. The salmon was cooked pretty well but the sauce was a bit thick and overly sweet for my liking, however the entire entree was delish! My mother had the Blarney burger which came with fries and it was huge and placed together nicely. She wasn’t even able to finish the entire burger. I would recommend this place to others for a quick casual bite or even a night out on the town (after drinks) spot! The prices were reasonable for the quality of the food. I would come back again.? Came here while staying at the Holiday Inn around the corner. We ordered and devoured the Fitzgerald's Platter. It was a great choice for a group to enjoy.
I ordered the Shepherds Pie. For anyone looking for authentic, this isn't it. It's a beef stew with mashed potatoes and cheese on top. It was very tasty and I'd absolutely get it again, but don't expect a true Irish Shepherds Pie.
Service was great, we got our food fast, and the TVs at each booth were a nice touch.
