I decided to sign up to Barbells for beginners after asking Sean if his training programme could help with severe back & hip pain. Cardio wasn’t helping nor were painkillers & I was at the point where I would try anything. I can honestly say that it’s the best form of exercise I’ve ever done & I have been pretty much pain free. I’ve done 2 programmes so far & signed up for another 8 weeks. Sean is lovely, always encouraging even on days where I feel I can’t do it or moan (that’s a lot) but his help & guidance have made a massive difference to me. All the ladies are fab too & we all have a good time. Definitely worth trying if you fancy something other then cardio! Cheers for all your help so far Sean. More...

Just finished sean's barbell for beginners programme and have really enjoyed it. Everyone is really friendly and I started to see and feel the difference in my strength and appearance more or less straight away would definitely recommend fit and vital life.

My first experience of using a gym, so I was a little bit apprehensive to say the very least! I went alone but joined a fabulous group of ladies who made me feel very welcome. Sean is a superb personal trainer, and pushes one whilst always supporting you . Although we trained in a group I always received individual training and support . I decided to take up the transformation programme after talking to Sean and knowing that I needed to change my eating habits, get some weight off and get fitter. I was really apprehensive to start with, but my fears were soon pushed to one side, as the support from Sean and Jade was just great. They were so welcoming, as were the other people on the programme, which helped me feel less self conscious and worried that I wouldn’t be able to keep up. Sean and Jade certainly know their stuff and they keep the sessions varied and fun and are just lovely people. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking to change their lifestyle. I have been training with Sean and Jade for a while now and can honestly say I’ve never enjoyed training as much. The attention to detail that these two give is amazing. I had been suffering with horrible lower back and hip pain and thanks to Jades advice and continual guidance this has now subsided. Jade and Sean have an online group were you can post questions and ask for advice. They always reply to these questions very promptly and explain things in a way that is easy to understand. I attend both the Transformation and Legs, Bum and Core (LBC) and I can’t see me ever going back to regular gym classes. My body and health have changed for the better. I have just completed a 6 week barbells course and have thoroughly enjoyed every session. It’s the first time I have ever done this type of exercise and was a little doubtful I could do it after having abdominal surgery earlier on in the year. Sean has been absolutely fantastic and is so great at encouraging and ensuring you do everything correctly safely. Starting anything new can be scary and daunting but both Sean and Jade make you feel comfortable and at ease from day one. They are both highly motivating and passionate about helping people achieve their goals in a safe and effective manner. The sessions are always varied making them fun and the other group members are all so friendly and encouraging to. Definitely recommend fit&vital life to anyone whether they want to loose weight, up their fitness, learn to lift weights, tone up or build in confidence. I would really recommend; I’ve just finished first barbell for beginners and am signed up to the next. You train in a small group so it’s really friendly and supportive. Sean pushes you to make progress but in an encouraging way. The food plan is easy to follow (and really tasty) and it doesn’t involve an unsustainably restrictive diet. I have just completed my first 6 weeks course and have lost just under 1 stone in weight and a total of 4 inches. I look forward to the workouts, the group are supportive of each other and very friendly. Just signed up for another 8 weeks. This is really friendly group the results I have achieved was more than I thought I would get Sean and jade are very patient and encouraging and are always on hand with any advice I may need on nutrition and fitness the gym sessions are never boring we all have a laugh along the way no extreme dieting still eating what I like just in moderation and still getting the results I didn’t think I would achieve in such a short time weight loss and toning up I have signed up for the next one (the gym was recommended to me so pleased I gave it a go)

I was very sceptical and didnt think Barbells would be something I would enjoy or even benefit from, but how wrong I was. My main aim was to build core strength which it has done but also giving me confidence to lift without worrying my back would hurt . Also it has given me confidence to go to a gym and believe in myself, and has helped me lose weight and inches. Sean is a great coach he is very encouraging, makes you feel at ease and knows exactly what is best to help you. I am the weakest of our group but never felt left behind. I have just completed the 8 week transformation challenge, with Sean and Jade, not really having a clue about what I was getting myself into my anxieties were very quickly reduced. . Both Sean and Jade were so welcoming, friendly and so so encouraging, pushing you to train to the best of your abilities and beyond. The sessions are always different and so varied, it kind of encourages you to try harder and keep coming back each week. I certainly feel stronger, fitter and made some changes with nutrition that will stay with me forever.. Highly recommend working with Sean towards any fitness goals. I worked with him on the lead up to my wedding and improved in every way. .. fitness, weight loss, strength and tone all improved. Sean is an excellent PT and I thoroughly enjoy training with him. He takes time to listen to what you want to achieve, builds confidence and pushes you every session to get to your goal. He's really clued up on nutrition and so positive about everything!

I can't recommend Sean at Fit & Vital Life highly enough. He is the only person who has managed to motivate me into enjoying exercise. I have taken part in both his bootcamps and his transformation challenge. He is great at building confidence (something I never had going into the gym) and really knows how to push you to achieve the very best you can, and when you get there, push you a bit more!. I'm a 55yr old woman, overweight with mobility issues following years of abdominal surgeries. I thought I was too old and too unfit to join Seans program, how wrong I was! ! I can't believe how far I have come in just 8wks. Through Seans nutrition and exercise plan I have learnt how to fuel my body correctly while exercising, I have lost fat, started to see muscle definition, have so much more energy and am so motivated. I decided late last year I needed to start making some changes and start looking after myself and was lucky enough to stumble across Seans Christmas challenge. I decided to contact him and find out more and it worked out he could offer everything I was looking for too. I took up the transformation challenge as an opportunity to change my eating and exercise habits in a sustainable and permanent way. I was apprehensive to start with, but it has been fantastic. Sean is a great guy who knows his stuff and is very supportive. The sessions are varied and fun, shared with a great group of like-minded people. It has been much more enjoyable than I expected (even though most sessions are tougher than anything i have ever done before) and it feels so good to be able to see and feel the difference!
