Absolutely loved my first time ever at a boot camp, each work out was easy to follow and Susan explained everything so the whole session was easy to understand. Everyone is so welcoming and friendly, it was good fun and I enjoyed having a laugh with some new people! More...

Great first session tonight and so good to see so many people there. Everyone was so friendly towards each other and Susan made us all feel at ease. Would definitely recommend this for beginners wishing to improve their fitness at their own pace and for improvers too wanting to increase their fitness. Fun warm up and a good cool down with a great mix of hard work in the middle. Really looking forward to next time. More...

10 weeks ago I could barely run for 1 minute! Now amazingly I can run for half an hour without stopping! If you have been considering starting to run I can not recommend running mate highly enough. The way the ten week programme is designed is brilliant & achievable. Susan is really friendly and supportive & there is no pressure to do anything you don't want to do. One of the many lovely helpers always runs at the back so if you are there too you are never alone! Looking forward to improvers! More...

I'm so happy to share I along with my beginner running mates have just completed the beginners course at towcester!
A huge thank you to Susan for all her support and motivation, it has been invaluable to achieving this, along with the marvellous support runners and such a friendly beginners group. ..highly recommended to anyone who wants to run. Susan and her team are kind, patient and encouraging you will feel supported what ever you can do walk/jog/run, it's motivating to see the week on week approvements.

I cannot rate Running Mate highly enough, such a lovely group of genuinely nice people who support you 100% of the way. The programme is based on a walk run ethos and boy does it work. I joined madly at week 4 not wanting to wait around for the next beginners to start. I had no experience of running whatsoever. So how did it go ... well, six weeks later I can now run for 30 minutes consecutively and, as of today, completed my first 5K race, something I wasn't sure I could achieve but the belief and support of Susan and team make you think maybe anything is possible. Superb group. I hadn't run since school before I joined Running Mate and now I'm running about 10K twice a week! I couldn't rate Running Mate highly enough; such a friendly group, and extremely well-structured. Thank you so much to Susan, and also to Melissa, Caroline and Colin for running such a great, friendly and supportive group. I have just completed the 10 weeks in Wellingborough and want to thank Sue and all her colleagues who have helped us along the journey it has been amazing. ...hard at times but soooo rewarding. To anyone who is thinking of starting just do it.....you will not be disappointed. I now have running mates who i am sure will agree with me that the journey will go on!! I would recommend Running Mate to anyone. 10 weeks ago I would have struggled to run for 5 minutes yet today I completed a 5km Park Run with the rest of the Beginner's group without walking once. Laura and the rest of the helpers at Daventry were amazing throughout the 10 weeks. They kept us well motivated and we had a good laugh on every run. I also found that Running Mate responded very quickly on Facebook if I had any questions and at only £2 per run you really can't go wrong. I'm now looking forward to the Improver's group! More...

In January, I decided to try doing something I've always said I didn't do and that I hated. Off I went and joined in the beginner's course! Thanks to the very amazing and supportive people at Running Mate, I completed the 10 week course and can run for 30 minutes! I may be the one at the back (with one of the run leaders, not left behind on my own!) but I did it! I will also now admit that I don't hate it anymore; in fact I'm strangely looking forward to continuing. If I can do it, anyone can and I absolutely recommend going along! More...

Every client has their own individually designed and planned training programme, tailored towards their specific goals. I understand that everyone is different, and will always use the approach and training methods that work best for you.

Anything is possible, with the right support, and a bit of determination.

Seeing the buzz that clients get when they meet their goals. Getting fitter and healthier really does change lives, and it’s a huge privilege to be able to be part of that.

I felt that there must be plenty of people, just like me, who want to get fitter and healthier, but wouldn’t want to do it on their own. Fitness Mate and Running Mate offer that support and encouragement to make changes, and improve your fitness and health.

I’m with clients every step of the way, offering support and encouragement, not just during our sessions but thoughout the rest of the week too. All sessions and training plans are specifically designed and planned for each individual client, to make sure they achieve their own personal fitness goals, whatever they may be.
