I have been working with Jessica for many years and she continues to challenge me every week. She tailors each session to what works for me and the goals that I am trying to achieve. She is focused on helping me reach these goals, whether it be increasing strength, improving cardio or weight management. I’ve been training with Jessica for over five years. Her background as a registered nurse and certified personal trainer helps to make her caring, inquisitive, knowledgeable and professional. She understands the human body and wants to train at a steady pace as to avoid injuries and, at the same time, to strengthen the body. She customizes my training sessions to meet my workout goals and makes suggestions to modify each exercise based on those goals. Jessica is a fantastic personal trainer. I worked with her for about a year and a half, with my initial goal being to lose weight before my wedding. Jessica helped me achieve that goal, and I continued working with her afterwards because I so enjoyed the weekly challenges and benefits of her workouts. Jessica is great at crafting workouts to help you reach specific goals or target specific muscle groups. She’s also positive and invested in your success, and keeps you focused on how far you’ve come, even on days or weeks where you feel like you’re not making much progress. Q&As

Make your first step towards fitness with a complimentary, one-hour fitness consultation to discuss your goals. It includes a health questionnaire, body composition analysis (weight, body mass index, body fat percentage, body measurements) and an assessment of your current fitness level. After Jessica has determined your wants and needs, she will create a fitness program tailored to your skill level to help you reach your unique goals.

One-on-one personal training sessions are one-hour and include individualized workout, stretching, and nutritional guidance. A variety of training techniques and equipment are utilized to create workouts that are fresh and exciting. Jessica will travel to your location and bring the necessary equipment. Equipment may include: stability ball, stability disk, BOSU ball, medicine balls, resistance bands, power bands, dumbbells, jump rope, and boxing gloves.

Jessica began her professional career as a Registered Nurse at Mount Carmel East Hospital in Columbus, OH. She worked on a floor that cared for oncology, palliative, hospice, surgery, and general medical patients. During her time she saw patients that had developed chronic diseases such as obesity, arthritis, type II diabetes, heart disease, stroke, and cancer. During this time Jessica also gained 30 pounds. She decided to begin exercising and eating healthier. In her journey to lose the weight, she realized that simply living a healthy lifestyle with a focus on exercise and nutrition was the cornerstone of preventing and treating the chronic disease she saw and experienced herself. She decided to become a personal trainer and devote her life to helping others learn and experience the benefits of exercise and nutrition.

Jessica earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Kent State University in 2007. Although she is no longer a practicing Registered Nurse, she does continuing education to keep her nursing license active. She attended the National Personal Training Institute in Columbus, OH where she earned her personal training certification in 2009. The program included 500 hours of classroom and practical experience where she gained knowledge in exercise physiology, nutrition, exercise program design, and exercise instruction. She currently has liability insurance through the Healthcare Providers Service Organization and is CPR/AED certified through the American Safety & Health Institute.

Jessica has worked with men and women of all ages from 14 to 95 and all skill levels from beginner to advanced. She has helped them lose weight, tone muscles, build strength, improve balance and flexibility, combat chronic disease, boost self-esteem and energy, improve nutritional habits, and more.

Services

One-hour consultation is free and includes: goal setting, health questionnaire, body composition analysis (weight, body fat %, body mass index, girth measurements), fitness assessment

A single one-hour session is $60 and includes: individualized workout and stretching. Nutritional guidance handouts will be provided after four sessions have been purchased. Jessica will travel to your location and bring the necessary equipment. A 24-hour cancellation notice is required or the session is forfeited; otherwise the session may be rescheduled.

Four one-hour sessions are $55 each and include: individualized workout, stretching, and nutritional guidance. Jessica will travel to your location and bring the necessary equipment. A 24-hour cancellation notice is required or the session is forfeited; otherwise the session may be rescheduled.

Eight one-hour sessions are $50 each and include: individualized workout, stretching, and nutritional guidance. Jessica will travel to your location and bring the necessary equipment. A 24-hour cancellation notice is required or the session is forfeited; otherwise the session may be rescheduled.
