21 March 2018

Coaching with Steve helped me identify how to improve my sleep and eating habits. Through the sessions, I identified methods and strategies that I'd never even considered. I found the whole experience hugely beneficial and vital in managing stress during an extremely turbulant time in my life. More...

Steve's communication style is excellent and he is great at understanding an individual's needs. He was a considerable help to me in uncovering strategies that I needed to succeed with my goals.

I went to Steve looking for weight management strategies but he helped me with so much more than that - I was able to talk freely about other issues that were impacting on my eating and exercise habits that I was also able to improve

Q&As

By working with where they are and where they want to get to. There is no grand plan, no secret, no generic meal plans and workouts, only a fully personalised service with the client at the centre. I don't see myself as Self-employed but as employed by my clients. I want to know what makes my clients tick so they can use whatever they are already doing well to take them to where they want to be.

There isn't one. It's like anything else in life: it takes hard work, patience and getting into the habit of making good decisions for yourself.

As cliched as it sounds: helping people. My entire employment history has been about trying to encourage and help others to be more fulfilled, happier and healthier in both mind and body. Personal Training is about so much more than what you give in the gym-what people get back outside of it is where the real reward lies for me.

i was born with the lower half of my left arm missing and throughout my life strength and fitness has been a passion and a means to overcome my disability. After leaving teaching at the age of 29, I decided it was time to turn my passion into my business and after qualifying 18 months later I established Fit For Life in August 2008.

Because I'm passionate about what I do. I have all the enthusiasm (if not more!) as when I qualified along with vast experience. I am committed to learning and have upskilled myself as a Wellness Coach in 2017 and attained my elite level 4 certification in October 2020. I take a totally holistic approach and understand that people aren't a collection of body parts to be put through their paces but individuals with their own strengths, quirks and ways of working. I love the process of helping people find strength and resilience they never knew they had and living a richer and more fulfilling life because of it.
