Q&As

I love to see lives being transformed for the better as I apply my knowledge and expertise to my clients' needs.

This is my desire to help those in difficult circumstances at the time they need the help. I have worked in various healthcare and therapeutic settings and observed how those in desperate situations are kept on waiting list and by the time the help is then offered, it is either not needed anymore or it is too late for the clients. I then resolved to be a part of the solution by embarking on my own private practice to give immediate help to those in need of it at the time they need it. This is why we have a team of counsellors and therapists who are ready and willing to take on different cases as soon as they come up.

My clients choose me based on variety of reasons. Some of which are listed below:
1. My counselling model
Recognizing that everyone is uniquely different and our problems are often peculiar to our situation and circumstance, I endeavour to tailor my counselling skills to your needs. This means that you do not need to deal with your challenges like anyone else.

Generally, I work as an integrative practitioner and so I blend CBT, Psychodynamic and Person Centred approaches in my work with my clients. I utilize CBT skills to help you find solutions to specific problems that you may have. There are also occasions where I may draw from the Psychodynamic skills to help you identify patterns in your life that have hindered your progress. I utilize the Person Centred skills to help you reinforce your sense of self and personal confidence

2. My flexible Working Pattern
My sessions are usually one hour/week. if you require more than one day a week, it can be negotiated.
In each session, you are free to work at your own pace and to bring whatever is pressing to you. I aim to provide you with the professional guidance and support as you explore your life situations and challenges.

We will have a review session every six weeks to enable us look at the progress you have made and the possible areas you may wish to work on. It will also allow us discuss possibilities of ending the sessions if that is appropriate.
