Came in during a visit to the fort and I was pleasantly surprised! It was a cute shop with plenty of space and seating, the decor was fitting and the workers were friendly! I ordered a vanilla iced latte lightly sweetened and although it was sweeter than I'm used to it was still very good. They have upped the iced latte game and use coffee ice cubes which is awesome so your drink doesn't get watered down! I will def go back if we visit the fort again! More...

Me and my husband LOVE this coffee house. We work out at the YMCA across the street from it, so it is the perfect location. The staff is super friendly. The location we love. They have indoor seating or outdoor seating. What we love about the outside option is many places offer outside seating, but the setting here is actually a pretty view. Firehouse is located on historic Fort Monroe. We both always get the sausage, egg, cheese, on a croissant. I don't know where they get these croissants, but it totally cancels out my work out, and it is worth it. I love the chia tea with an espresso shot. So good!! Maybe it doesn't take much to impress me, but my husband gets an ice coffee of some sort (I just know he loves them) the ice cubes are made out of coffee. Sorry but I love that little detail. Probably the nicest people I have ever met. Every time I have been here everyone was friendly and eager to help. Not to mention the food and coffee is great along with how they have the place set up. One of the best spots!

My Absolute Favorite Coffee House. They are the best. The perfect place to visit on a rainy afternoon (or anytime for that matter). Brunch this afternoon was: 1) A Breakfast Croissant Sandwich consisting of Ham, Slice of American Cheese and a Real Egg done to absolute perfection (honestly I think that is the best breakfast sandwich I have ever had.) 2) Their award winning chili (It won People’s Choice award for favorite chili at the 14th Annual Waterman’s Museum Chili Cook-Off Fundraiser in Yorktown this past November) Exceptionally Delicious! 3) Last but certainly not least: The Coffee, a custom peppermint mocha beverage with almond milk and an extra shot, just the right amounts.
