Traveling, like barbecue places, and saw good reviews. Opened the door to the restaurant and it smelled like a barbecue place should. Ordered food and it was prepared in front of us on wood board. Meats were high quality. Careful, “small” sandwiches were packed full. There was one barbecue sauce on table that both my wife and I enjoyed, rare that happens. Had a “barbecue slaw” that mixed well with meal. There were small 2 inch dessert pies, the size made us by one and it was delicious. Owners doing service, very friendly. Some of the best BBQ around hands down. Prices are a little high compared to other lunch options in town, but there is no way this food will be confused with fast food. Picked up trays of ribs and brisket for a family BBQ last month, first time trying out F&S and definitely won’t be the last. They provided great customer service, helping me with the right quantity to feed my expected crowd. We received tons of compliments on the meat, very tender and flavorful - - glad we had a few leftovers to enjoy afterward! Look forward to testing out Taco Tuesday and the rest of the menu. The BBQ at Fire and Smoke is second to none! Delicious brisket, delicious sauce, delicious sides! This is my new go to stop whenever I pass through Ellensburg.
Make sure you get the cornbread when you stop in. It's crusty and has an amazing flavor.

I can't tell you the last time I walked out of a restaurant feeling like, I'm glad I ate that! We got there too late for anything but brisket which is a great excuse to come back another time. We are from Tacoma but the drive for the best bbq I've had since being in Texas is worth it! We had the beans, Mac and cheese and the potato salad and they were all fantastic. The brisket didn't need any sauce as the flavor of the meat was glorious but I did have a few bites with sauce which was great too. Guess we'll be exploring Ellensburg more now! The service was great and I'm so glad I'm not a vegetarian because I'd hate to have missed this place. Thanks guys! More...

Ok, I'm pretty picky about my BBQ. This place is legit! Had the brisket and pulled pork combo. First, the brisket cried juicy tears of happiness while it was being sliced.
The smoke ring was perfect. I had me with the Carolina style spicy sauce on the side (I recommend this). The pulled pork was moist and flavorful. The mac n cheese and potato salad sides were homemade and on point.
11/10 we'll be back.

Fire & Smoke catered our wedding this last weekend. It was perfect! David, the owner, was very helpful in helping us tailor a menu to fit our budget, and everything was perfectly prepared and ready to go well before I was time to serve dinner. He and his staff were unobtrusive, and were quick to refill food trays as they became empty or low.
