I have been working with Michael since 2016 and it has changed my life to have a stable exercise plan adjusted as often as I want in order to maintain a strong body. He has also helped me to understand what the best foods are to support my health. My goal is maintaining a healthy body which is foremost in enjoying life to the fullest, especially in my retirement years. By making changes and observing the results, I know what I should be doing even if I don’t always stay on my plan. Michael understands that and we regroup and keep moving forward.

Michael is a life changer! He is up to any challenge, both physical and mental, and he has a unique understanding of the body and how it reacts to what we eat, how we move, and what will improve us. He focuses on each individual’s needs, goals, and issues with his diverse toolbox of exercise and diet ideas. He is flexible enough to move very slowly or very quickly depending on individual needs. I freely recommend people to him, and those that take the challenge are rewarded with an ever-improving body.

Finn Fitness has answered my prayers. I was wounded in Iraq and have been dealing with chronic pain for years. All the VA would do is give out pills. Finn Fitness has brought me back to walking normal and has decreased my medications.

Before meeting Michael, I had been running long distances while tolerating knee pain for over 20 years. During my first visit, he created a custom stretch routine that alleviated my pain. While rock climbing, I developed a pain in my upper arm that wouldn't go away. Michael diagnosed it as a nerve issue in my neck. He helped me stretch it out and created a routine that prevents the pain from returning. Michael has an incredibly unique understating of the human body that allowed him to solve my issues when none of my pervious coaches could. As a Physical Therapy Assistant I know the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle. In my mid 50`s I realized I wanted help to improve my fitness and lose some weight. I tried various gyms and classes but never felt they met my individual needs. Michael was featured one day in a newspaper article and I made an appointment. I knew from his thorough analysis that he had the knowledge and skills to get me safely to my goals.
The days I work with Michael are the best days of my week. He is positive and patient and I always leave feeling energized and accomplished. As I reached my goals we made new ones. Now, 10 years later, I am competing in track meets and last year was #2 in the USA in my age group for the 100 meter dash. Thanks to Michael I have raced injury free.

Michael has been helping me for the last 4 years and I have lost over 60 pounds. In addition to losing weight, he has helped me improve my lab results. When I first started working with Michael, I had seen previous doctors and had multiple injections for pain in my back. Nothing seemed to help. Then I met Michael and through his guidance and training, Ive been able to not have to have anymore injections in over a year. He is highly knowledgeable and compassionate towards others. Michael is a great trainer. He takes his time and has been very thorough since the first time we met. I initially went to him because I had had a hysterectomy and he is certified in a certain abdominal reconditioning method which is specifically designed for rehabilitation after that type of surgery. I've only seen him 6 times so far, but already I'm doing squats with weights, which is something my doctor told me I would never do again. Michael Finn gets my highest recommendation! I’ve worked with Michael for a number of years. He’s been fantastic at helping me reach my health and fitness goals for a variety of reasons. First, he has deep knowledge of exercise physiology, kinesiology, massage and allied areas. Second, he has always worked with me to develop a bespoke program to help me meet my goals. A big part of this is working with me to restore, strengthen and improve specific joint, or muscle issues that I’ve had. He actually listens to me and responds in real time. I started training with Michael around 10 years ago to address a chronic low back pain problem that I had endured for years. After a thorough analysis , Michael created an exercise regimen that relatively quickly addressed the problem, and I became pain free for the first time in several years. I continue to see him routinely as he continues to modify my plan to address issues as they come up with my continued desire to play golf 3 times a week. I've been working with Michael for about 9 years and I couldn't recommend him more! He is so knowledgable about all things related to the body, and gives simple, back-to-the-basics strategies on how to live a healthy lifestyle that go even beyond eating and exercise - such as sleep, breathing correctly, and more. He is also so kind, patient, and easy to talk to. More than a trainer, Michael has also become my friend and therapist!

I've gone through two pregnancies during the years working with Michael. He was so helpful in adjusting my workout as each pregnancy progressed to help with some of the aches and pains I was having. Post-partum, he helped me recover my core, give me the strength I need to lug my babies around, and also correct some hip joint pain I was experiencing after my 1st pregnancy. Highly recommend!

I worked with Michael at Finn Fitness for about five years on back strengthening, flexibility and rehabilitation. Many years before I had injured my back in athletics, and as the lumbar disks wore down eventually I had chronic debilitating pain. Michael diagnosed the problem and first put me through a series of exercises to stabilize the back and strengthen the muscles to keep it in place. This made it possible to function again. The surgery was quite extensive, but it completely fixed the pain and I recovered very quickly. My husband and I have been going to Michael for over ten years and we’ll continue forever! What makes Michael different than other trainers is his unbelievable knowledge about everything to do with your body. We’re at the point that we have no aches or pains (in our mid 60’s) and anytime we do something to hurt ourselves he can easily give us the exercises to fix it, or massage if necessary. My husband has had multiple surgeries the last few years and he has sailed through each one, part I believe is due to Michael preparing his body for the upcoming surgery. Michael Finn is like no one I have ever known. I have been to numerous gyms and trainers over many years and never got the results I wanted. Michael taught me that it’s not just about working out. You need to eat healthy and have a positive attitude about life.

Michael explains how the body, mind and soul are connected and what happens to our bodies when we abuse them when over-stressed and why working out too much is not a good thing. He has taught me more than I can write about (it would be too long), and he continues to further his education and pass it on to his clients. I can tell you this; it does not happen overnight, but if you decide to work with Michael you will get 200% of his time and expertise that you won’t find with anyone else.

I Start with a complete assessment to figure out your starting point.
I adapt this assessment to your goals, needs, and abilities.

I create a Holistic program that will allow you to feel better and see results quickly to boost your motivation.

I will coach you through the process to implement the program in a calm supportive way at a pace that works well for you.

While you are exercising with me, we may also be talking about different ways to implement nutritional changes.

We may also be talking about stress management, improving relationships, improving sleep habits, or other ideas that will help you reach your goals.

I also offer massage work to those with previous pain or injuries.
It is important to improve the health and function of your tissue before working on making that tissue and the rest of your body stronger.

I will ask you at each session how you are doing?
What are you successful with?
What things are challenging for you?

We can then focus more energy on what is challenging for you, and less on what is easy for you.

We are all very different, so I don't train two people alike.

I don't judge anyone.

When I was overweight in pain and not happy with my life. People just gave me cookie cutter plans that didn't work. I wasn't educated on how or why to do things, and when it didn't work people didn't want to help.

I want everyone to be healthy and live their dreams.

I work with people and coach them providing education and ideas to be successful. If a client struggles with these ideas I come up with new ideas that fit the values of the client better.

We all need a coach from time to time to learn from, and to receive feed back from a different perspective.

My Holistic approach changes with the individual who is in front of me.
I change it for the clients goals, experience, and what each client wants to put most of their energy into.
Exercise, nutrition, lifestyle coaching, and massage therapy are just some of the tools I use to help my clients reach their goals.

I offer exercise instruction, Nutritional coaching, lifestyle coaching, stress management, and more all remotely online.
The only thing I cannot do remote is the massage work that may be needed for those in pain, but even that I can write up instructions to provide to a local massage therapist.
