My parents had not updated the paint jobs in their house for over 20 years, and there were rooms that still had wallpaper on them that needed to be removed. Knowing how desperately my mom wanted the house updated and that she didn't have time to do it herself, I decided to hire a professional painting company to do the work and turn it in to my parents' Christmas gift. I had done my research on homestars before deciding to hire Marc and the Finishes by Hahn team and I am very happy I listened to the previous reviews of this company because they did not disappoint. Marc worked with my schedule so we could get a quote for the project done without my parents knowing and even made up a gift certificate for me to wrap up and have under the tree for them Christmas day. The project was finished professionally in the timeline initially provided, and when there were a few imperfections that were discovered after the paint had dried, Marc made sure a member of the team was promptly sent over to do some last finishing touch ups. My parents are thrilled with the results and my mom's first response to seeing the kitchen paint job was that it looked so good she couldn't believe it was actually her kitchen. I know my parents have already started thinking of other areas of their home that they want to have Marc come back and paint as well. I needed a ceiling repair in both my garage and living room/foyer from water damage a few winters ago. The damage in the living room included pealing tape and water stains on a stucco ceiling. The garage needed a new section of drywall when the old had fallen down from water damage. In addition to the repairs in the garage, I wanted to have the terrible builder mud and tape job redone with a coat of primer on the walls.
I called several contractors but I was unhappy with the price or the demeanor of the folks who came out. I called up Finishes by Hahn based on home stars and Marc came over to give me a quote and explained the aspects of the job. I was very pleased with Marc and his quote. The work he and Dave performed was awesome. My stucco ceiling is repaired and even I can't tell it was ever damaged. I was worried that a patch job on stucco would be noticeable because of a) the different texture, and b) color that wouldn't match builder beige. Boy, was I wrong. Marc did an awesome job!
My garage finally looks decent and the terrible builder finishes are gone (hanging tape, unprimed walls, cracked joints).
The price Marc quoted was about $4000 less than the highest contractor, how insisted the only way to repair stucco was to strip is all down and redo it. Wrong.I would recommend Finishes by Hahn. WOW ... best way to describe the type of work you get when you hire FINISHES BY HAHN. We were cleaning up baseboards and trims and thought we had the right touchup paint colour. We only remembered the original paint was 2 shades darker after the touchup paint dried. I called fbhahn and though he was super busy, he squeezed us in within 3 days. When all the furniture was moved, I commented on how good the wall paint still looked since it was initially repainted in 2007. A testimony on how good the original work was performed by FINISHES BY HAHN !!!!! We will be moving to a new home this fall and it will only be painted by FINISHES BY HAHN. Marc and his team came highly recommended, so we had a feeling that we would be in good hands. We were nervous about repairing our popcorn ceiling in our living room after a bathroom leak because we were afraid that it would stand out like a sore thumb. I must tell you that we were impressed not only with the final product (you would NEVER be able to tell that there was a giant hole a week ago), but his team was so incredibly tidy, reliable, and professional throughout the entire process. Our furniture and walls were protected and they even did a big clean-up of the space once the job was complete. Although he and his team were really busy right before Christmas, he graciously agreed to help us complete a few other projects around the house while they were there... painted our fireplace, patched holes in our three bathrooms from old toilet paper holders and towel rods, repaired ceilings in our kitchen where we had pot lights installed, and patched and repaired our ensuite bathroom where we had the water leak after the tiling was redone. We've been in a state of chaos since we took possession of this house back in September, and Marc has been, by far, the most reliable and the most professional. I found Marc by recommendation by another contractor. Marc was pleasant and the consultation for the work is free. He was able to work with my schedule when needed. I had drywalls taken out for exploration of my cold wall issue. It turns out behind my fireplace, there was a huge gap that is not insulated properly. Marc was able to add/replace the insulation with Roxul insulation and it made a huge difference. The newly constructed drywall section is actually warmer than the rest of the wall. So Roxul really makes a difference. There is no longer a draft around the area. I would recommend Marc to anyone that needs drywall/insulation work done. More...

Marc is a friendly guy who takes care to explain the whole process at your first meeting (including that they have insurance). Free consultation/estimate. We had a hole in the ceiling from a leak and a couple of other water damage spots. We had asked for two quotes - one was just to replace the drywall/ blend-in in the dining room, and the second was to remove stucco entirely from the main floor (which was our preference). Based on cost, we decided to only do the repairs. However, after removing the stucco in the dining room, Marc found that the taping underneath was in much better shape than he expected and therefore, provided a revised quote. It was significantly lower than the original second quote, so for a reasonable amount more than our first quote, we were able to get the dining room fixed and remove the stucco from the living room and front hallway. We are very happy with the end result - it looks GREAT! We would definitely recommend Finishes by Hahn and will ask Marc to come back for other work. More...

Wow I cant believe Marc was able to fix my ceiling. We had Mark come by our home to do a couple of ceiling repairs. One repair was a complete hole in the ceiling and the other was a water damaged section of drywall, in a ceiling as well. The results are fantastic I cant even find where he did the repair and the blending of the stucco is a perfect match. I would use Finishes by Hahn again. Thanks Marc.
