My wife and I had been talking about getting air conditioning in our two back bedrooms for a few years now. Every time there was a 'hot spell' we would say we need to look into it and not follow up on it.
During the 'Heat wave' of 2022 (Remember that!) we finally did something about it and started looking at suppliers locally and nationally. I had been to a few national websites, including one in partnership with a big energy company, and came across the website BARK. I submitted a request for a quote on there and Liam from Fenland had responded within 5 minutes. 20 minutes later after a very informative and professional phone call I had decided that the team at Fenland sounded like the crew for the job (and they were much cheaper than all the other quotes id had so far!)
Liam advised me on the size of system that i needed for the job and the different types of kit available. I did not feel as if Liam was trying to sell me something I didn’t need, in fact to the contrary. He actually told me that some systems I had been quoted for were actually far too powerful for the job and were unnecessary. His honesty here was obviously much appreciated and bolstered my decision!
I kept in contact with Liam throughout the week and he even sent me photos of his past installations to show me roughly what everything would look like when done. He was more than happy to answer any questions I had even thought of along the way.
The installation process was also a breeze (get it?!) - with Robbie and Jerry being two very approachable but professional chaps. The installation took all day due to the nature of what I had requested but they both worked constantly all day and were exceptionally focused on the job in hand.
Like most building work, I was expecting there to be a bit of a mess, which is unavoidable, but the lads cleared up after themselves and used dust sheets in the house to minimise any mess.
Throughout the day I felt comfortable to be able to ask both Robbie and Jeff questions about the installation process and they even talked me through the workings of the system.
Before leaving Robbie showed me how to use the system fully, explaining in detail all the functions and features. It was clear to me that they both take genuine pride and care in their workmanship. This attitude goes a long way with me!
I have opted to have both systems upgraded with Wi-Fi enabled units. Of which the Wi-Fi modules are with me but are just waiting to be fitted. Robbie has assured me this will be sorted asap and I do not doubt this.
From initial contact with Liam to the system being fully installed was around about a week! I couldn’t believe how quick and easy the whole process was. Especially during such a hot snap.
Although early days with this system, the 7 year guarantee (yep!) that Fenland offers and the quality of installation that they have provided has filled me with enough confidence to say to anyone that I’d highly recommend Liam and the team in a heartbeat!

We asked Fenland to install air conditioning last week and was surprised at how fast they got it done!We had previously been quoted for a Mitsubishi unit, which we weren't keen on the look of, the price was very high and were told that we would be waiting at least 2 weeks! We called Liam at Fenland who came the same day and helped us choose a system, explaining the best system for our budget, it turned out to be a much better unit with 3 years warranty, was cheaper and better looking. What I love most about my job is being at the forefront of energy technology, knowing that we are improving the quality of life of the customer, by keeping customer comfortable, with systems that have our fullest confidence. In a lot of cases, we find that after we have carried out work, that our customers stay in touch and there is a friendly connection with them for years.
What inspired you to start your own business?
In short, working for or around dishonest, predatory, individuals, who were almost exclusively driven by money. I struggled to be a part of something like that and wanted to offer better.
I knew that there was a different way to do business, where qualities like trustworthiness, honesty, integrity should be at the forefront. I could define my own high standards, which often exceed the customers expectations.
