We recently moved our business to Adam Carter the principal of FD Analyical Accountants, we have just completed our first years accounts. Adam is what you want from an accountant, produces quarterly accounts, does my VAT return, small wage run and all on time. At the quarterley accounts meeting, we also get sensible advice on how to improve our business and plan for any tax bills that might be due.It all sounds simple but most accountants I have dealt with have not been as good. We recently changed to Adam & his team after running into a few issues with our business. We had got into a few difficulties with HMRC & were also seeking funding in order to grow the business. I don't use this term lightly, but Adam has been absolutely perfect! I had dealt with other accountants prior to meeting with Adam at FD Analytical and if I’m honest I always found them to be a bit confusing and maybe even a little condescending – I had an initial meeting with FD Analytical (I received loads of free tips and advice! !) and immediately new that they were the accountants for me, really “down to earth” and friendly – I immediately had the impression that they “got” me and my business. As a newly self employed sole trader the prospect of my first tax return was daunting. I already had an accountant, but met with FD Analytical as they seemed different and a friend had recommended them. With my old accountant I would regularly send emails or leave telephone messages and not get a response for weeks, if at all sometimes and when they did respond their answers didn't fill me with confidence! FD Analytical are so different, I always receive a response to my queries and in a language that I understand (which must be a challenge for the team but they are doing very well!). Adam at FD Analytical is really great guy with a good sense of humor,
i feel like i am lucky to have found FD as i was dreading filing my thousands of pieces of paperwork alone, he will call/e-mail me back within hours and answer all my annoying questions, and the best thing about Adam/FD is they don't talk rubbish, once you have the backing of a good accountant the HMRC and VAT man are not so scary.
no one wants to file taxes and VAT but if you are at that point just go ahead and get it done, you'll feel better, and your business will grow. theres no better feeling than being 100% straight with your business.
they will understand your business and know about everything and anything you can be doing to run more effectively. very impressed,

I changed accountants during 2014, FD Analytical reviewed my previous accountants works and calculations, within 2 weeks they had changed my VAT registration type and saved me almost £9,000 a year and then identified a research and development tax credit claim which is likely to be yet another significant tax saving. I moved to FD Analytical as my accountants in 2015, and I couldn't believe how different the meetings were in comparison to my old accountants - I used to dread meeting up with my accountant in fear of getting a last minute tax bill or signing accounts that I just didn't understand! FD analytical just simply do what needs to be done but they talk to me about the future of my business, changing to a limited company, saving tax, getting a company car in the lowest tax way and getting my business an overdraft so that I could move to new premises, I'm really impressed and pleased and looking forward to my next meeting!!
