We met Ann Lancaster and Chef Tony and their delicious food at an open house over the weekend in Pasadena. They were very quick to respond to messages and set up a tour of the beautiful Romanesque Room. Ann and Tony welcomed my entire family when we showed up to view the location, the energy they carried made me feel comfortable to do business with them, they're the kind of people you want on your team when planning your wedding. It can be confusing and stressful to plan a two-day executive event from another state to take place at a venue you've never seen before. Plus, I wasn't going to attend the event. Despite this, Stacy put me at ease and kept the logistics of catering and equipment rental running incredibly smoothly! She worked diligently to accommodate specific needs and would always respond to me in record time (usually within 5 minutes, how the heck!?). It was a major relief to know I had someone so professional and trustworthy on site for the two days of the event. Shadia, John, and Chef Robbie were outstanding from start to finish. They helped cater a very large VIP event recently and the food was excellent. The displays were lavish, the ingredients were fresh and local, and the great attention to detail paid to our entire group from the staff was unparalleled. Additionally, as someone with a food allergy, I know how difficult an appetizer only selection at an event can be. They worked with me to identify various opportunities to offer selections that worked with any dietary restriction. If you need someone in DC, these are your people. Me and my husband have no words to be able to explain how AMAZING this company is!! They were a God send to us. Let me start from the beginning. ..I was working with another catering company at first and just was not being treated like I felt appropriate (I will not go into detail as this is not their review), I was constantly telling my husband how sad and displeased I was by their service, until one day it just got to be too much and I decided to look for another caterer only months away from our wedding. In comes Eco Catering, as soon as we spoke with them I was at ease and felt special and most importantly heard! They listened to everything we had to say and treated us like we were their only concern. It was exactly how we imagined it was suppose to be and more. The food was INCREDIBLE and is still being raved about by our friends, but let me tell you about how much more they are than food!! This team made sure we had the wedding of our dreams! Helped with set up, timing, making sure every detail was perfect, and keeping me from worrying about anything at all! They were not only our catering for the most incredible food, but handled the decorations, and was basically our wedding day coordinator. Eco Caters did a party of 180 people for us and did not disappoint! They were prompt, organized, dealt with hardship gracefully when our water went out for a few minutes, and the food was delicious and loved by everybody! Eco Caters helps us on a monthly basis to keep about 40 Virginia Tech students and faculty energized during intense, full-day graduate school sessions on our Arlington, VA campus. The variety of flavors is wonderful for both vegetarians and carnivores, and the desserts are sublime. I cannot recommend Eco Caters enough! They catered a statewide meeting that we had in Santa Monica with about 200 people for lunch for two days. Both of the staff that came were friendly and professional. The food was so fresh, delicious, and flavorful. They offered several very wonderful vegetarian and vegan options. The chicken on both days was perfectly cooked and so full of flavor. I really liked the food the first day but was blown away the second day! I got nothing but compliments from attendees saying how much they loved the food. I saw so many clean plates. We went with the chef's choice option for both days and didn't know the menu until a few days before the event and I was not disappointed. The first day we had: grilled chicken with herbs and lemon, roasted vegetarian pasta with parsley, roasted cauliflower, mirepoix quinoa, farmer's market salad with house-made vinaigrette. The second day we had roasted chicken with white wine sauce and chive, spaghetti squash with vegetable ragu, grilled carrots, farro, farmer's Market Salad with House-made Vinaigrette. This 5 star review is way overdue! Eco caterers catered my son's wedding last November and the service and food for 160 people was impeccable.   From the initial tasting to finalizing menu items they were prompt, helpful and the food was delicious!  Service at the wedding was well staffed, water and bread was promptly replenished at the dinner tables. We selected a stationary cheese/charcuterie display which was artfully displayed and immediately consumed!  Tray passed hor dourves were well seasoned and at the appropiate temperature for the selections.  Thank you Eco caterers for a job well done! I love Eco caters! My company has used them for a few events in the past, but the most recent was our holiday party this past Friday. They were so easy to work with, they have amazing vendor recommendations, great food and Christine our event coordinator was absolutely fantastic! She made sure to book everything for us, provided great suggestions and timed everything perfectly. Honestly if don't think this could have happened without her. Eco Catering is AMAZING!!!. Jessica and Nick were a dream to work with. From the initial tasting to the night of the wedding, the food was fantastic. Nick explained the dishes at our tasting and helped us make our final food decisions. Jessica made sure each detail was taken care of and that our guests wouldn't be disappointed. After enjoying the food at the initial tasting, I had my concerns that this quality & taste could not be replicated on a mass level (160 wedding guests). Choosing Eco Caters for our wedding was an awesome choice. We met with multiple catering companies before making our decision and working with Nick, Emily, and Jess was a great experience! From the initial meeting where we did a food tasting, they catered to what we liked, their food was AMAZING, and we got many, many compliments on our food options during and after our wedding! To me, 5 stars means that nothing could have been better. From the get-go, Christine was responsive, attentive, and flexible, even before we had approved her proposal. Our event was for almost 100 guests, leaders from all across the country, in a mostly outdoor space. The caliber of food had to be high and the logistics were slightly complicated. However, Christine professionally and adroitly adapted to these challenges throughout the planning process and the event. Christine met with the venue a week before and set up the day before, to get ahead of any logistical considerations. When new challenges with the space arose, she fixed them promptly.Not only that, the guests were very impressed with the quality of the food and the display. I was impressed with how little thought I had to give to the catering logistics once I booked the event. Compared to other bids, Eco Caters was more expensive but high quality and professionalism came along with it, making the pricetag worth it. W Pico is a busy street but what saves it is Eco Catering. Food wise the chicken and waffles is the star. Yes they have mini beef sliders and mushroom taquitos but when all your guests go hmmmm that food presented us the star. Eco Caters was one of our FAVORITE wedding vendors. Everyone knows choosing your caterer is a large part of the wedding budget and that food is one of the larger parts of the guests' experience. So I was very, very picky when deciding on a caterer and was down to a couple favorites. However, when it came down to it, I chose Eco Caters because I absolutely love their food options and the fact that they're eco-friendly, organic, and overall a fresh, eclectic vibe. In addition to that, I really enjoyed working with Janee and Jessica. Part of what sealed the deal in terms of choosing them was heading to Ocean Beach to do a tasting, where I met the head chef and his wife, who run the business. They were super professional, and displayed that they had a great level of experience doing exactly what we were asking for. Their flexibility with the menu was HUGE for us, and allowed us to save here and there, which made a big difference for us and our budget. They did a great job with the bartending and making our specialty drink. I actually had a couple guests tell me they loved the bartenders themselves. That was a HUGE bonus because when employees are clearly happy doing what they are doing, even though it is hard work, that vibe reflects onto the wedding day experience, so I was happy to hear that bartenders/servers seemed pleasant and not just trying to get through the night ;). We also chose to have Jessica/Eco manage our rentals as well - which was a life saver. Jessica did a walk through of where we were getting married (San Diego Botanic Gardens) so that we could determine what was needed. I loved that she took the lead in telling me what was most common to do, what I didn't need, etc. The day went very smoothly, and guests raved about the food. Eco Caters did a fantastic job from start to finish.  My husband and I were impressed from the friendly welcoming vibe of our tasting, all the way through the process of giving us some seriously delicious food that all our guests raved about on our wedding day.  There were so many delicious options to choose from, and it was actually from looking at their menu choices that we came up with the whole theme of our wedding! With so many types of cuisine offered, it's hard not to be inspired and think outside the box.   And it was hugely helpful to hire Lauren as our coordinator, so she could guide us through the rentals and other details as well as oversee everything menu related.  She had the calmest, friendliest (and most capable) spirit throughout the process-- and especially on our wedding day.  And the bartenders and servers did too.  This is the vibe you want at your wedding (and as you plan it)--our day could not have gone better. Had the opportunity to be at a wedding catered by Eco Caters and let me just say OMG! The food that I had at this wedding was simply amazing! I saw that there was a sliced beef roast and I was already thinking that I should have brought some dental floss. But this was the most tender beef that I have ever had! We got married at Castle Green in May and cannot thank Castle Catering enough for helping facilitate it from start to finish.  We had to email and meet with a few caterers to see if we could even afford a wedding at the beautiful Castle Green and once we talked to Ron and Starla, we knew it could happen! They were SO accomodating and reasonable.  We used the restaurant partner program and got delicious food from Green Street Restaurant in Pasadena.  Starla was easily the best communicator through the entire wedding planning process and super easy to work with.  And Ron did everything he could to make all the details perfect. The service was wonderful, bartending was exceptional (take his advice and have the alcohol delivered by Bill at the Bottle Shop!!), and they just made sure we got everything we needed.  Duane handled all the extra details on the week of and truly went above and beyond the call of duty. Eco Caters catered our wedding in August and we could not have been more thrilled with both the quality of the food and the graciousness of the service. We opted for a buffet lunch with passed hors-d'oeuvres for the cocktail hour. Every single item was beautifully presented and a hit with guests - many of them remarking to us weeks later how it was some of the best food they had ever had a wedding. It was elegant without being fussy. The brisket was fantastic, the vegetables were seasonal and fresh and they took mac & cheese to whole new level. They were thoughtful enough to set aside plates for my groom and me to be sure that we didn't miss out anything while we were busy talking and greeting guests. Wow. There are no words to describe how amazing Eco Caters is.We just had our wedding in August and Eco Caters was the easiest and one of my favorite vendors to work with. I'm so happy with their service and of course, food.Eco Caters provided the best wedding food I've ever had, and I'm not being biased. All our guests were raving about how delicious the food was. Even my parents, who are the biggest critics in food. We decided to go with the short rib and salmon and wow, they were cooked perfectly. The short rib fat was like gravy and you didn't even need a knife to dig in. The salmon was so tasty too and not dry and overcooked like most places. I was so excited that I had leftovers to take home after the wedding. Still tasted amazing the day after!Many were also saying the appetizers were amazing and they ate too many and were so full after the entree that they barely had space for our late night snack of In-N-Out! The staff were very attentive as well and greeted all my guests with a smile. More importantly, Lauren, the operations director, was sooo patient and charismatic and answered all my questions throughout the process. She was such a delight to work with and had such a positive attitude. I worked with Castle Catering on a recent wedding. The staff were amazing. The positive energy and attention to detail made the event that much better. Eco Caters is amazing and their food is SO yummy!  I have worked with them a few times at different events and they are such a pleasure to work with.  They know what they are talking about during planning, answer your questions quickly via email, and then on site they are a dream.  Their staff is professional, presentable, on time and very nice.  They aren't just some random people staring blankly at you who don't know the first thing about serving.  With Eco, I don't need to worry about the staff not doing their jobs or being on their phones the entire time.  Such a relief!  All the guests always rave about the food too!  It is really tasty and they can accommodate gluten free and dairy free and vegans alike.  If you want excellent food, great service and someone who's nice to work with, I can't recommend Eco enough! I am a catering server and It has been my pleasure to serve food from dozens of caterers in Los Angeles and at hundreds of events including the Emmy Awards and the Espys. I must say that after serving one time at an event catered by Eco Caters they are among my top recommendations!Not only are the Eco Catering staff a pleasure to work with the food is soooo yummy! I was shocked to learn that everything was homemade and to sample the menu was definitely a treat! The mashed potatoes are so delicious and don't even need toppings and the beef was so tender it melted in my mouth! I was blown away! Don't let the family feel of this catering company fool you!
