My story is common. I am a wife and mother of two children, one of which has special needs. It has been my job to take care of my family and while there was no good excuse and no one to blame, I had forgotten to take care of myself. I had been battling with being overweight for the last 15 years. During the Fall of 2016, I injured my left knee. After that, my back began to give me problems and then one joint after another. While healing from a ruptured Baker’s Cyst behind my right knee and after multiple sessions of PT, I had enough and decided to take my life back. I began my own weight loss and exercise program. The lifestyle type diet was working, however, my lack of knowledge regarding exercise was not giving me the results I was hoping for. A friend introduced me to Chris at Farrell Fit and after just a few classes I was hooked. Chris and his team at Farrell Fit provide individual Fitness training and expertise in a small group setting. Seriously, I have never experienced anything like this class. Chris pays close attention to my limitations by providing movement corrections and modifications, when needed, without making me feel like I am giving up on all that I need to be doing to get stronger and healthier. The group setting provides me the additional motivation and an opportunity to bond with others striving to reach their full potential. We all share a common goal despite the fact that we have our own stories to tell. Yes, this has and continues to be a journey for me. I am 85 lbs. lighter and have lost 35 lbs. of it is since I began Farrell Fit 7 months ago. Chris and his team at Farrell Fit have been passionate about helping me obtain and keep a stronger, healthier body than I could have ever imagined having at age 53. That’s right, no matter what your age Chris only sees the person within and cares about what your own personal goals may be. Overall, Farrell Fit has provided me with the most important recipe to my diet. Who would have thought that the ingredients would include – Guidance, Motivation and Passion. I have been working with Chris for little more than a year! He is a great trainer and really cares for his clients and their success. I've worked with him in both personal training and group sessions. Chis pushes you hard but you feel great when your session is over. I've improved my strength, endurance, and stability. Chris finds way to motivate you outside of training... recipe suggestions, ways to keep active, and lots of encouragement. Another great thing about Chris is his reliability. He is where he says he will be. He never reschedules classes or training sessions. He has well prepared workout plans, explains things very well and is always there to help make needed adjustments. I started working with Chris almost a year ago. I was nervous about working with a trainer and felt very self-conscious. I felt an immediate connection with Chris. He made me feel comfortable and encouraged at every session. I did one-on-one sessions as well as group classes with him. If you have the opportunity to work with him one-on-one, you won't be disappointed. I dropped 4 pants sizes while working with Chris. He gets so excited when he sees progress in his clients. He is a genuinely kind human being who is dedicated to changing the lives of his clients. Chris started training me in The beginning of 2014. I weighed 309 lbs. At that point, and wasn't feeling self-confident in general-- and impossibly embarrassed to be at the gym. Chris' encouraging personality and words helped me feel like I deserved to be a part of the family of 'athletes' and people who take care of themselves. He treated me like an athlete from the very beginning, believing in me when I definitely did not believe in myself.

The workout plan he wrote for me each week was incredibly detailed and specifically geared to my personal goals. Chris' knowledge, coupled with his motivational attitude, is a force to be reckoned with. He was not only an incredibly gifted trainer for me during our training sessions, but he was also somewhat of a life coach-- motivating me to vent, process, then focus and move on with different hurdles in my life-- and to make sure I was "killin' it," as he would say--- giving it 100% 24/7.

The day Chris announced he was leaving the training facility, I cried. It was bittersweet. I cried tears of joy for how much progress I had made in such a short amount of time and tears of sadness because I wasn't sure I knew how to keep up with training without him there to guide me. He instilled an athelete's attitude in me. I will be forever grateful to Chris for that.

I kept taking Chris' advice and I have continued on my weight loss adventure and health endeavor & lost 108 lbs in one year. Chris was a front-runner in helping me stick with it. It's worth it!!!

I've been training with Chris since late February. I've had some health issues and medications have made me gain a lot of weight. I decided to start training after 2 years of inactivity. It has changed my life! Not only am I seeing changes in my physical appearance, but it has changed my mental outlook too. Chris is so encouraging and so patient. I came home from work one day not feeling the best...I've been attempting to lose weight all summer and it just wasn't working. While flipping through Facebook, I came across an advertisement for Farrell Fit's weight loss challenge. I completed the information page and received a text message that same day to set up a time to discuss the challenge.

For this challenge, Chris provides a meal plan, along with a shopping list for each week of the weight loss challenge. My biggest challenge is knowing what to eat..and planning those meals. The meal plan and shopping list make it super easy to follow!

Included in the challenge are 4 fitness classes per week. Before taking the classes, a fitness evaluation is conducted so that the instructors can all know if you need modifications to the exercises during class. So, although classes are in a group format, you will receive an individualized experience. Classes are NOT intimidating and completely non judgmental! Everyone is at a different fitness level but heading toward similar goals - a better you!

Trouble staying motivated? I have received daily emails with tips and tricks to keep on track (for the challenge), and personal follow-up for encouragement! The first week on the meal plan is especially difficult, so those emails are extremely helpful! You will not receive this type of personal attention at a traditional gym!

I engaged Chris Farrell as my personal trainer in October 2014. Chris‘s responsibilities included strength training, of my arms, legs, abs, core, balance improvement, nutrition, and weight management.

Chris tailors the exercise and weights appropriately to the client’s current capability. He increases reps and weights only as the ability increases. He avoids exercises and motions that have the potential of inducing muscle or joint pain. If a pain does occur the exercise is terminated, the source is determined and a remedy is sought. All workout sessions are age, ability, and capability appropriate. The objective of the workouts is to strengthen functional movements and continue to improve quality of life.

Over the past six months I have lost 13 pounds, dropped 2” from my waist, can balance on one leg for extended periods, raise from a lounge chair to a standing position unassisted, genuflect on either leg and raise to a standing position unassisted, in addition to doing squats, TRX exercises, kettle ball lifts, and working on improving every day movements.

Mr. Farrell added nutrition monitoring and advice to the exercise program. The addition of appropriate meal planning and eating habits, such as adding protein to breakfast and lunch, has added endurance and reduced lethargy during my awake time. He also sent out high protein, low calorie and low fat recipes. He has logged my vital measurements at the beginning of my engagement and is monitoring it quarterly.

I have worked with Chris in a one on one and a group fitness setting since the summer of 2014 and have been impressed with him from the beginning. At that time, I was already in pretty good shape but had plateaued. I needed help getting out of the rut I was in. Turns out, Chris was just the man for the job. It is definately the best choice I have ever made in regards to working out. Chris works closely to make sure you are getting the best workout. I first started doing a challenge for a month, working out 3 days a week and I lost 5" in my waist and 14 lbs. I could not believe it.
