Wow I had no idea vegetarian food could taste so good! The place is somewhat hidden as it's off the main road and tucked between 2 apartment buildings. The food is great and everything is healthy and vegetarian. It's a little bit on the pricey side but I think it's totally worth the extra few dollars. The atmosphere at this reasonably priced spot is modern and bright, especially with all the extensive white. The food is seasonal and tasted fresh and really feels like a home cooked meal more so than many others. The plates are a great way to "build your meal" and I loved that they put their money where their mouths are and list the source location of the food you are eating right on the menu. A cosy spot to grab to grab lunch or dinner. Everything from the proteins to the sides seem relatively healthy. Depending on which protein you select, you can get a meal for $15-20 which comes with your choice of two sides. You also opt to just get three sides. They've got a selection of about 4 warm and cold sides. I really enjoyed the beet salad, but wasn't particularly a fan of the Mac and cheese but that's because I prefer my Mac to be loaded and super cheesy. Highly recommend the turkey meatballs, I'd be interested to try their other proteins but the chicken did look a bit dry. All in all, the food was good, but reminded me of a cafeteria food bar. I ordered the beef with potatoes, hot and cold. (I don't know what I was thinking picking two kinds of potatoes.) The meal was fantastic though. I don't like to eat the fatty parts, I have plenty of that, so I wouldn't get the beef again. Something was missing in the cornbread. The texture wasn't quite right. Terrific place for lunch! $20 for great portion size, healthy food with fantastic flavours! Clean washrooms. Rustic but clean with a touch of fairy lights for atmosphere. Finally made it and it did not disappoint! Wish I lived closer so I can eat here more often. It's hard to find delicious and savory healthy food. I got the chicken with broccoli and quinoa salad and all were great. Was concerned initially that the chicken would be dry but nope! They also have a small selection of affordable wine and beer. You order at the counter and they bring it out to you. Both inside and outside seating is nice, cheerful, calming, and mellow. Outside is covered which is nice so the sun isn't in your eyes all the time. This food is absolutely delicious! Everything is made with fresh ingredients which makes it so much better. I found out about this place on yelp and I noticed all the great reviews. My friend and I arrived here during lunch time. The line wasn't very long so we had some time to review the menu. There are little menus on clips hanging near the cashier. I picked the roasted lemon pepper chicken as my protein. My side choices were Ontario quinoa salad and potatoes bravas. My friend got the roasted lemon chicken, kale/ cabbage salad, and mac & cheese. Very nice dinner at Farm'r Eatery. It wasn't very busy so ordering was quick and easy. We waited for 10-15 minutes for our food which included BBQ brisket, falafel, mac and cheese, beet and feta salad, and quinoa salad. Everything tasted fresh. Farmr is an absolutely amazing little gem off the Esplanade. The food is fresh, delicious and uniquely prepared. I love that the ingredients are locally sourced. The rustic decor in the restaurant is paired with some jazzy features like the neon lights in the back wall. The staff are friendly and helpful and very happy! They always had a smile on and it looks like a happy place to work. The eating area is primarily long picnic benches with a park feel to it. I enjoyed the lemon chicken, Mac and cheese and sweet potatoes. The pricing is a little high, but in keeping with the freshness of the food, perhaps that is acceptable. It was a wonderful evening. The key is making everything from scratch. Most offices get tired of the same old catering (usually boring sandwiches) and we work hard to make it delicious and exciting. Our corporate clients love the variety of meats and sides and the best part is there is something for everyone with our gluten friendly, dairy free and vegan options.
