I enjoyed working with Fariba, as she really made me think about the situations I was facing and how I would approach them, talking through options in how I might approach the situation that with practice would make me more resilient as a person. Fariba is a warm individual with a caring nature and really made me feel supported throughout the entire process. More...

I really enjoyed working with Fariba as she really helped me to bring out issues that needed to be discussed and thought about in order to get to the heart of the issue in order to build the techniques I needed to move forward.

Fariba has been my Counsellor over the last 6 months and her service is outstanding.
Timing and punctuality excellent.
Professional, empathetic and thorough, covering all aspects needed to aid my recovery.
Fariba has assisted me greatly with the long road I am faced with due to Mental Health.
Always ready to listen and goes the extra mile if timing of the session goes over. Giving sound and timely advice.
I would most definitely recommend Fariba and will not hesitate in telling friends and family of her fabulous skill set as a Counsellor.
I wish Fariba every success for the future.
I will definitely use Fariba again in the future should it be required on a private basis.
Thank you to Fariba for helping me through some very dark, low and sad days, you’re a true star.

Q&As

I have a desire to work with diverse people to create an environment that they can trust. This encourages them to share their life experiences to focus on their feelings and emotions to understand what is happening for them to work towards positive changes in their life with confidence.

The main inspiration to start my own business is working with people in a private setting. I like working flexible hours that encourages the clients attend their counselling sessions without stress of work and any other commitments. It gives me time to research and learn new therapeutic techniques to help people and structure my work according to my lifestyle.

I am over 15 years experienced counsellor. I have worked in different settings such as General Practitioner (GP), domestic abuse, alcohol/drug abuse and mental health. I work empathetically with the clients. I take confidentiality very seriously. I work in a private comfortable setting that encourage the clients to explore their feelings and issues safely with me. I have a good communication skill to encourage clients to trust me to enable them discuss their issues openly with me. I work non-judgementally with people to develop a good rapport between us to encourage them discuss their issues to find their own solutions to gain confidence to move on to achieve their goals.

I work face to face, online video calls (Zoom, SKYPE), telephone and WhatsApp.

I have full vaccination for COVID-19. I follow the legal instruction to keep a high hygiene standards for the clients to enable them to attend their counselling sessions. I also encourage the client to have their own choices of how they would like to have counselling to feel safe.

In addition, I worked with clients who have mental health alcohol/drug problems due to family, cultural and religious expectations and issues. I have done extensive work with women who experienced domestic abuse who were vulnerable due to their cultural acceptance, immigration and language issues that stopped them moving on.
I have specialized and have experience in several areas including: Work and family conflicts, Domestic Abuse (BME specialist), Depression, Anxiety, Stress, and in working with individuals who have experienced trauma such as sexual abuse, neglect, verbal abuse, physical and financial abuse. I am continuously attending trainings for safeguarding, domestic violence, mental health
I work as a Humanistic Person-Centred Counsellor primarily using Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, and Mindfulness. This means I work with clients to deal with their current feelings and experiences rather than focusing on the past. I strive to create a safe, affirmative and accepting space for all people who come seeking services. This allows clients to feel comfortable discussing their experiences and issues to feel supported and trusting to explore and find a solution to help them move on. I work with clients to focus and concentrate on their being on here and now (present) to encourage them to look at problems from a different perspective to feel confident to draw a strategy to plan their life independently to move on.
