I will ask questions about their business in order to get to know them and their clientele. I like to ask about their goals with the project and all expectations. I usually ask that they show me what they don't like and why as well as what they do like and why.

Depending on the project and scope, I will need to know what they have in mind for design concepts. I like to know their audience as well as their team. I work best with a deadline, so I like to know their time frame ahead of time.

Anything printed, I have probably done at one point in my career. I seem to have a lot of business card and brochure business. I can design everything from vehicle wraps to catalogs. Print design is my specialty.

I first like to qualify the client for who they are as a business, their mission/goals, and project intentions. I take the time to listen to them to best understand what they have in mind for said project. Sometimes they are able to tell me what they like about a design and why or what they don't like. It is important to fully understand them and their needs in order to produce a superior outcome. If it is a logo design, I will start out by doing some research on their market and competition. Then I will sketch some ideas out on paper. I usually create what I call a "font sheet" where I will put the name in several selected fonts so the client can choose what they like. I will then either work in Photoshop or Illustrator to develop my sketches into digital art. I will submit the designs to the client after this part in the process so I can receive feedback. Many times, they select a design with zero revisions, but sometimes I will refine the concepts further to a more complete design. I like to communicate with my clients and get the proper feedback along the way. I will work on the project until they are completely satisfied and in love with the final piece.

I love building relationships with my clients and being their go to person for their branding/design. It is so fun to listen to someone and what they have in their head for a concept and then exceed that expectation with the final result. I am very easy going and professional so I like to keep it comfortable with everyone I work with.

I have been designing for 20 years and got to a point in my adult life where I needed to actually incorporate my business. In 2007, I had so many side projects on top of my full time job that it only made sense to make the move to my business full time.

Sometimes a client may only need a small project done but when I start building a relationship with them, they see what I am capable of and most of the time, I am able to help them with so much more! The majority of my clients continue to work with me past the initial project and most of them refer me to other people they know.
