Exeter CounsellingCertificate of Excellence 2019
St. Thomas, Exeter Devon, UKElite Pro (2 Reviews)
Hi...from Exeter counselling!
Thank you for exploring my page. my name is Michael Morgan.
I am a warm, experienced and qualified Counsellor working from home in St Thomas, Exeter. I offer a safe space for men and women individually, and for couples' therapy, to explore relationships, anxiety, drugs, abuse, family problems, separation, self esteem, depression and other problems - working towards resolution, growth and change. I also have experience in life coaching/planning.
My practice is on several bus routes, and i have a private client parking place too.
I qualified as a Counsellor in 1998, at the Metanoia Pyschotherapy Institute in London, after originally training in biology and nutrition.
My focus is Relational Transactional Analysis , but flexibly adjusted to working relationally with the client's needs always.
I've worked overseas with aid agencies in health and nutrition projects, in UK Universities as both a Counsellor and as a Senior Lecturer, and more recently in my own therapy private practice in Oxford, reading and now Exeter.
The first appointment is always at low cost, and with no obligation to continue. I offer both short and longer term therapy, flexible fees, depending on the person and their needs.
From my own experience, I know taking a new challenge in life, like beginning counselling, can be very scary. Therapy will not provide instant solutions, but I do believe it provides a guided space and time to work towards a happier and more centred person. It might be of thought of as a 'time out' with a trained Counsellor (usually weekly but other times too by arrangement), who is committed to a helpful 'guiding' process alongside you. The Counsellor will not tell you what to do, but through our time together will help to clarify issues and help you make the right decisions just for you, with you guiding the process.
