I had a top-star experience with Elisa. May every event planner or bride be in such good hands! She was fun and easy to work with, had great ideas, and was very understanding about my desire for frugality and decorating on a budget. She exceeded my expectations, and really went out of her way to make things easy on me--- fitting meetings around my tight schedule, going shopping for decor ideas together when it suited me, even on short notice, etc.

Elisa is an out of the box thinker and very creative. When we couldn't find just the right tablecloths, her first question to me was "Do you have a sewing machine?" and took to me the fabric store to consider whether to make a tablecloth from scratch. We didn't end up going that route, but I was so impressed by her willingness to go that extra mile. She showed me lots of different ideas and options for my table arrangements, and showed me how the table could look with a few simple tweaks AND gave me lots of ideas for future events too! I will definitely use Elisa again when a special event is beyond my capabilities, and can recommend Exceptional Events by Elisa with confidence. More...

Elisa was incredible to work with. She opened my eyes to so many things that I didn't even know I had to do! Elisa really helped us by making a timeline of when specific things should be done by, pointing out the big versus small tasks, always keeping us calm and helping us stick to our budget.

We met Elisa at a vendor expo our venue hosted - she's a preferred vendor at 2941 Restaurant. We hired her for day of coordinating and she was AWESOME. Elisa was with us for all the scheduling towards the week before the wedding. She met with us at the venue to walk through the space and talk through each table with what we needed and where it needed to be - taking very detailed notes. She was also at our rehearsal to get everyone on time with their walks and the cues. She was fabulous during our day. There were some timing issue with some of the food and being behind schedule but she was extremely prompt in bringing it to our attention so we could make a decision about what we wanted to do. She helped set up and breakdown all of our decorations and was a key asset in working with the back of the house at the restaurant to ensure we stayed on track as best we could. I can only say that Elisa did an amazing and incredible job!! She and her team are so accommodating, resourceful, classy and detailed, she and her team made every aspect of the wedding planning so smooth and detailed. My wedding was a year in the making and she was so organized with emails, folders and quotes always that she made everything so simple. Even though the first months of planning I was living outside the country she was able to squeeze the most meetings everytime I traveled to DC. She has great contacts, is very knowledgable about everything. My weeding was a complete dream!! My wife is the creative one in our relationship; I am more about logistics. Elisa was able to work with both of us, assisting my wife in making her vision a reality, and also in helping me hash out logistics and making everything run smoothly the day of. Anything we needed, she was right there. Even when both our officiant and photographer backed out a week before the ceremony, she was there, somehow getting us her #1 photographer with only a few days notice. She was able to creatively adapt to our needs both as two Deaf women, and to me as a wheelchair user. On top of all of the planning help, my own experience was that she was the biggest cheerleader of our love throughout the whole process. Professional, but also just a joy to be around and a happy face, whenever she arrived I sighed a breath of relief. She always made me feel like everything was going to work out and be wonderful, and she was right, we had a wonderful day. I know that our day was 100 percent easier, more enjoyable, and happy because Elisa was there making everything flow smoothly! Elisa and her team was there for me every step of the way from the planning stages to day-of executive/on site coordination.

They took my vision and made it a reality; There was no detail too small that they didn't take the opportunity to go above and beyond what I asked them to do. And when I asked for something, it was met with an "absolutely!" every single time. I felt like I had my very own fairy godmother.

They were professional, courtesy, warm and friendly, creative, and so very talented. It was an honor to work with this company.

And the week of the wedding when I had what felt like a never ending stream of emergencies (the officiant AND the wedding photographer backed out the week of the wedding), they stepped in and hooked us up with their number one photographer who was a DREAM.

My wedding was such a beautiful and stressful day, in large part due to Exceptional Events by Elisa.

We decided to work with Elisa to help plan and execute our wedding because of her familiarity with the venue that we already selected, Meadowkirk. She had organized events there before, so we thought that would be a considerable benefit to ensure success of the event.

Event though we initially thought of getting a ‘day of’ coordinator, we decided to get Elisa involved as a full-time coordinator considering that we would have many international guests staying at the venue for the wedding weekend. In retrospect, this decision was a good one as Elisa and her team did a wonderful job in welcoming and making the weekend stay comfortable and enjoyable for the guests.

Another huge help that we received from Elisa during the planning of the wedding was in connecting us with various vendors. At the time when Elisa came on board, we already had the venue and catering covered, but we were still looking for vendors to cover everything else. Elisa connected us with vendors that she had teamed up with in the past, keeping in mind our budget guideline and what we’re looking for. She provided insights on the strengths of each vendor we considered, making it easier for us to decide who to choose. In the end, we did go with most of her recommendations. It made coordination easier as she had worked with these vendors before.

Elisa was easy to work with. She listened well to our wishes while providing input from her experience.

Overall the wedding weekend was a success. In areas where we had unexpected glitches, Elisa and team were able to make adjustments that made those things unnoticed by guests and our overall wedding vision realized.
