We just moved into a house in the burbs and a month in, found sewage in the basement. Excel came out the next day and was able to ID the problem right away (original pipe to the house over 100yo corroded through). He gave us a quote but also explained potential issues and how much those could cost. He seemed trustworthy so we accepted his quote, and scheduled the work. My sump pump seemed to be recirculating water.  Wanted to get it checked before something catastrophic happened.  Adrian B came promptly.  Checked the pump in a variety of ways.  Answered my questions and gave me a clean bill of health.  Checked my backup to make sure it was working too.  And, no service fee, so there was no charge.  Not too many shops like this these days!  Thumbs way up! This was the first time I used this company for plumbing services. Maureen was very fast replying to my request for a estimate and with follow up emails. I was informed when the tech, Egor, was on his way. After Egor arrived, he gathered his tools and had my new kitchen faucet installed quickly. Thanks for a job well done. Luke came in and looked at sink and faucet and saw where water was coming from. We discussed what type of faucet would serve my needs. Because I'm on a fixed income he suggested a Moen because it was similar to the one I had, and the cost was within my budget. Have used Excel multiple times, especially during the last big snow storm. The guys were very professional and very knowledgeable. I was afraid that, as it happens in situations like these, the folks would do the critical time-sensitive work first and bill me an unreasonable amount later. It was not the case here. Excellent company with a quick response after leaving a message on a Sunday. They arrived as scheduled the following day to check our plumbing issue in our kitchen.  After viewing our problem Brian suggested we call our kitchen contractor to fix the problem. He admitted that they could damage our newly remodeled kitchen when fixing our leak. Wow, he was kind enough to be honest and didn't charge us for the call. We had used Excel in the past when we had a broken sewer line going out of the house to the front yard.  They worked quickly in terrible weather to determine what the sewer problem was and fixed it in a timely manner. Called Excel around 6:15 tonight and by 10:00 our problem was solved. I can't speak highly enough of Adrian, the plumber who came out. He was thoughtful, courteous, meticulous, professional, focused on not only diagnosing and repairing the problem, but also discussing with me every step of the way. He's a truly dedicated customer service technician and expert. And Tanya, the dispatcher, also great. She called me twice before Adrian got here just to keep me informed, and he was here in less than 2 hours. Like hundreds of others, I had some frozen pipes in this record cold -- in my upstairs laundry!  Fearing a burst pipe, I called Excel (I am a repeat customer) and Tom answered promptly and professionally.  While they were slammed with calls, a few hours later, Tom was able to send a plumber.  Thirty minutes in advance, Yuri, the plumber, sent me a text with his photo (nice touch!) and the office alerted me by both email and a phone call.  Yuri got right to work on arrival and did not give up until he made major progress.  I'm hoping it will continue to thaw without a major leak -- I am confident Yuri has increased the odds of that happening.  I was really pleased with Yuri's professionalism and expertise.  Before leaving, he also showed me how to turn off the water source, what to do over the next few days and, as a bonus, offered a great idea about adding some vents in my ceiling to get heated air into the space between floors where the frozen pipe is located.  Another great service call by Excel! I cannot begin to tell you how wonderful Excel Plumbing, and their plumber (Yuri) are! I asked for a quote last night, or rather around one in the morning, and got a quote almost immediately. After a brief phone call today and appointment was made for a plumber to arrive between 2:00 pm and 4:00 pm. At a couple of minutes past two the doorbell rang. Yuri came up the stairs, introduced himself with great courtesy and friendliness and got to work immediately. Within half an hour the work was finished to perfection. The agreed on price was more than reasonable, and an electronic receipt was sent on the spot to my Email address. What a company! And what a great plumber! More...

My family moved into BG over a year ago and as any new homeowner would have, had to call the plumber. The first time i had no idea who to call so i checked the internet. When i saw that Excel was nearby and that they offered a discount for Veterans i got them on the phone immediately.  I called at 9am and the person on the phone let me know that although the staff was fully scheduled they would send someone out that day. By noon i got the call that Carlos was already enroute and his ETA was twenty minutes out. Carlos came by with shoe covers and i explained the issue. After some diagnostics he let me know my options. He and i spoke about what would be the best way to handle the situation and we agreed on a plan that was priced right. Well, I believe this is my second review of Excel. Had an exterior sewer pipe collapse on Christmas Eve with 25 people at my home. Excel was able to fix the problem temporarily that evening. A few days later Uri came out, explained the problem (after viewing it with a camera...cheap, faulty plastic connection used - had work done 10 plus years ago by another plumber - which connected my PVC pipe to the original clay pipe close to the street), and gave me a quote. I had already talked to a few of my friends and knew the quote was reasonable.  Having used Excel several times in the past (both at my home and my dad's home), I knew they would do a good job. His team came out the next day (permits and utility markings done early that morning), and Alexander and his pleasant team replaced the collapsed sewer line....very relieved!! Excellent experience. I submitted a request for an estimate and received a call making an appointment for the same day. Excel called back asking if the tech could come over earlier which was just fine. A photo of the tech was sent to be prior to his arrival. Once on site I got the quote for a replacement toilet and the work was completed within a couple hours at a very reasonable price. The tech, Luke, was very polite, clean and neat.
