Our organisation has dealt with Evolve Business Developments to carry out training courses over the last couple of months. Karen delivers a great interactive session each time with enthusiasm and a friendly atmosphere. We have had Facebook, Twitter, Linked In and Designing for Promotional Materials training. I've attended a few training sessions with Evolve BD, some more than once! Every time I learn something new. Yesterday I attended a session focused on developing marketing materials, or making leaflets and posters to put it simply. I already do this most days a thought it would be a waste of time. I left the session feeling inspired and full of new found knowledge and skills.... Now I've just got to go back to all my leaflets and posters and change the lot!!! Definately worth the commitment of 1 day to make sure your time is spent creating something that will do it's job and worth the time and effort you put in. Karen is a great trainer, she brings training topics to life, has a great personality and makes a group of strangers feel totally at ease working with one another, making sure you get the most out of your time with her. I was watching and listening to Karen presenting a brief topic on Social Media to North Lincs Business Network Members on the 25th August at the Forest Pines Hotel.

It was her usual style - she just makes sense.

I've always tried to be a good boy on Social Media, considering what I say and how it might reflect on myself, my public role and my business however, I really did like one phrase Karen used in particular as to why everyone needs to be concerned about Social Media and what is on there about them - even if they don't actually have any social media accounts.

It was that 'not being on #socialmedia doesn't mean you're not on social media, you need to check if others are talking about you'.

That was so apt and direct as usual from Karen.

She was talking about checking regularly via Google or directly within any of the Social Media environments to see where your name or your company name appears and what's being said so that you can deal with any negatives that might be out there.

Karen is incredibly helpful and knowledgeable and often emails us to let us know about social media developments or mistakes that we might have made on our social media channels. We would highly recommend her workshops as well as the one to one tuition, the attention to detail in researching your current social profile before meeting with you is a very nice touch.
