I've participated in a few of Shelley's "Spaghetti Legs" bootcamp a at Harvard Stadium. I will admit that I was apprehensive at first; expecting an instructor yelling at participants until they passed out. Shelley is the complete opposite! She makes sure everyone pushes themselves while creating a positive, fun environment to work out in- she even joins in on the fun herself! She is super knowledgeable about the workings of the body and I highly recommend any of her classes! More...

I can't say for sure that this is the best bootcamp in Boston because it's the only bootcamp I've done, but it is AMAZING. Such a hard workout, but all fitness levels are welcome. Shelley is so motivating and a great fitness instructor. Also it's only $99 for your first month! No reason not to check it out! It's perfect for an athlete or someone trying to kick start their routine. More...

Shelley is fantastic. I've been coming to Evolve Bootcamp for over a year now, only taking a break for the winter months. When I first joined I expected what bootcamp sounded like---a military style workout with an instructor yelling at you while working out . I couldn't have been more wrong. Shelley has a wonderful way of pushing you to your limits and keeping you engaged the whole class, all with a smile on her face! I don't think I've ever looked forward to a workout as much as bootcamp. I'm hooked, and I can't wait to come back in the spring. There is a great sense of community here, and it's wonderful to be exercising outside. Definitely give it a shot! More...

Having never done anything close to resembling a boot camp, I decided to give this one a try after purchasing a deal for it.  I figured I would only do it for a month but after that time came and went, I stayed for over 6 months only taking a break due to an injury.  This is the only boot camp I've tried so I can't compare it to others and I wouldn't want to! Shelley is a great coach and works with people of all fitness levels.  I never saw anyone not break a (drenching) sweat.  Plus, working out outside is a whole lot more fun than going to the gym.  Can't recommend enough! Shelley is an incredible woman and I'm glad I bought the yelp deal that allowed me to attend her boot camp. I wasn't the most reliable attendee--often strolling in late and even trying to find excuses to sit down lol. But Shelley will make you move even if you are tired, she pushes you hard but still manages to be supportive and kind. The classes are small and the workouts are so much fun. She really puts so much effort into making things interesting and if you are considering a fitness boot camp, I wholeheartedly recommend evolve :) More...

Awesome experience.  Shelley kept me challenged and coming back for more.  She encourages you without barking out orders and quickly comes up with any appropriate swaps to prevent injuries.  The location is also great--certainly beats the ordinary gym workout.  Definitely the most consistent I've ever been with working out. When I initially started taking classes at Evolve Bootcamp I was intimidated because I was really out of shape.  A sedentary job and an overindulgent diet weren't doing my figure any favors.  In the past, I've been one of those people who gets bored easily with one type of exercise- I had done a couch to 5k program, only to promptly revert to couch potato status after completing it.  Considering my husband once jokingly said that one of my favorite hobbies is sleeping, motivating myself to stick to a class that meets 3 times a week at 6 AM, rain or shine, seemed pretty unlikely.  But there was a Yelp deal, so I figured that I'd give it a go.Surprisingly, I'm going into my 3rd month of Evolve Bootcamp, and I don't want to quit.  Shelley is a creative and knowledgeable coach, and I find that I am never bored thanks to the wide variety of exercises that she incorporates into the classes.  And the workouts are effective and will get you results.  My cardiovascular fitness and strength have noticeably improved.  I feel less sluggish and more alert at work.  My family has remarked that they've seen a positive change in the way my body looks, and that feels awesome! The classes are small enough where everyone gets personal attention.  Shelley will correct your form if needed so that you stay safe, and she will definitely provide modifications if it looks like you're not being challenged enough (nobody gets off easy).  The fellow bootcampers are laid back, and unlike upscale fitness studios, nobody cares what you're wearing, how old or young you are, or whether you're a gal or a guy.  If you're considering attending, DO IT!  Logistical notes:  1) There is a place where you can safely store a small bag (ie: change of clothes) if needed. I have to go to work immediately after the morning sessions, so not being able to bring a bag would be a dealbreaker for me.  2) Be prepared to get very sweaty and possibly dirty. 3) Prices, especially for returning bootcampers, are excellent compared to other area bootcamps. I never would have thought I would be *glad* to get out of bed at 6 a.m., get my ass kicked by a woman half my size and then head to work three times a week. But alas--I LOVE it. Shelley does a great job. She is the definition of tough love; she will simultaneously be your biggest cheerleader and push you beyond your perceived limits. She has a ton of energy and keeps the workouts varied and exciting each time. I am absolutely addicted and will keep coming back. More...

I showed up early one morning 7am in Boston Common and automatically when I saw Shelley for the first time I was a fan. Shelley has so much enthusiasm for her students and the the whole class. I would feed off that energy and would feel great my whole day because I started my day with Evolve BootCamp. Classes are very small and intimate so you get to meet people that become your friends. You get a really good workout and the classes are extremely fun. Its starts with Shelley and then it trickles down to yourself by the end of the first hour of the first class you will be laughing and joking and feeling good about yourself counting the hours until the next class with Shelley. I've been going to Shelley's workouts for about a month now, and they are great.  There's a ton of variety, from sprinting up hills to jumping on benches to throwing medicine balls to pull-ups at the playground.  It's quite lovely to workout in the morning in the public garden or on the Common - beautiful spots in the city that I don't visit often enough.  And Shelley is unfailingly positive with everyone.  I was in pretty good shape when I started, but I'm in even better shape now - I'm sore in a good way after her workouts, and I've lost those five last pounds that were plaguing me.  Give it a shot, challenge yourself, enjoy the early morning in the heart of the city, and get in great shape! By far the BEST Bootcamp in Boston... and I've tried a few. Shelley's workouts are dynamic, motivating, educational and challenging. She mixes up the exercises and really focuses on movements that provide equivalent results to workouts I have done using machines or weights at the gym. I felt and saw results after just a few classes. Shelley really pays attention to form and demonstrates each movement and gives tips on how to do the workouts safely. I cannot think of a better way to get to know the green spaces in Boston than working out with Shelley and fellow bootcampers! More...

Went to this bootcamp at 6am on the Boston commons with the deal I bought online from ZoziIt was a great hour long session, with only two of us there. Had me sweating and working with medicine balls for pretty much the full hour. I will definitely be feeling this workout tomorrow! It was a great way to switch up a workout routine! More...

Shelley is trained in many disciplines which is why I love working out with her. Her Muay Thai drills and yoga and  stretching cool downs are my favorite!
