For a guy who has never seen the necessity of a haircut any fancier than what one could receive at Sport Clips, I couldn't help but be impressed with the fine job Ali did on my son's head. She transformed a shaggy messy of baby curls into the presentable (yet still slightly curly) doo of a young boy. Evergreen as a studio is pleasant and tucked into a nice brick building behind a nursery in Oak Park. The stylists all seemed to be in good moods and had their stations filled with many customers, yet it was still a fairly quiet and calm atmosphere. It's an emotional roller coaster for any parent to see their son grow up and shed those remnants of babyhood. Ali eased our minds and gave our little boy a respectable haircut. Korynn is the best hands down!  Always friendly and careful with how my hair should be. While she does women's hair Korynn has the experience and skills for mens hair as well. She always asks how I want it to be done and works for both short and long-term duration of my style. My friend referred me to make an appointment here and referred me to work with Tatianna. My hairdresser is retired and I was in desperate need to finding a stylist that is great and knows color and cuts hair really well. Tatianna was awesome. Sweet as a pea. I love my highlights and undertones of my hair color. I went back to meet with her to get a root touch up and will be back again in a couple weeks to work with someone else for another root touch up. Over all the experience was great. I can tell that all the hair stylists that work there have their own unique quality about them and I see customers happy after their appointment. This salon is amazing! My hair stylist was Anh. I am from New Orleans and everytime I come, I always visit Anh. Anh started my hair lightening journey July 2018. Back home, stylist aren't really articulate and have patience like Anh did with my hair. She took her time and did section by section. It took her 6 bowls of bleach yet my hair does not feel dead and even has a bounce to it. I am so thankful for my hair because I have always dreamed of recieving this color. Everytime she does my hair, it's exactly how I envision it to be. This time, she exceeded way more than my expectations!!! Safe to say, she's a hair god in my eyes. Eylianna did such a great job at cutting, shaping and loving my curly hair.  Not only did she listen to my concerns and wishes, but she also shared current education about curly girl tactics and products, to help me make informed decisions about my own hair. Oh my gosh, I just LOVE this place. I get the best hair cuts here, but it's more than that. The people here are suprisingly warm & soulful. They carry environmentally friendly products & do other environmentally conscious things that reflect the name & decor. For instance, they have holistic health practitioners available for things like massages, acupuncture & aura cleansings. I also heard they have yoga & meditation classes avail. Anh has been doing my hair the past couple of years and always does a fantastic job. She's super patient and realistic about what she can achieve with your hair. (Don't expect to have dark hair and go to platinum blonde in one session). If you're looking to go light, expect to book a few sessions so you don't kill and damage your hair!Anh is very knowledgeable and helpful. She even recommended me after care products to help maintain the color of my hair. She's easy to talk to and funny! I have never been disappointed with how my hair turns out with hair. I have been here 3 times with Miriam, 2 of which while I was a student at UC Davis. The last time I trekked all the way from San Jose to come back, but it's worth it! The scheduling for an appointment is super easy, you can just call directly, though Miriam is booked out months in advance. She's literally the sweetest hair stylist and I always get what I want when I come to her. The hair studio itself is very cute and quaint, everyone who works there is nice. She also works efficiently, meaning I can be done in 4 hours or less. I typically get my hair's balayage redone and a haircut which totals to around $200-$250 depending on the look. After a year, I finally made an appointment to get my hair colored. With the pregnancy and a newborn, I knew I had to do it soon or later. Thank goodness I finally decided to do and did it with Anh. She was very accommodating. I booked her last minute while on my way to Sacramento from San Jose. She asked me for a picture of an inspired look I want and my current hair length and booked me right away. She knew I had to leave San Jose early and didn't have time to eat so she asked her husband to bring me a Vietnamese sandwich since he was already dropping off one for her. She took her time on my hair. I think I was her second client of the day before she closed up. She was very kind and professional. My hair turned out beautifully better than the picture I showed her. Besides hair, she also does make up as well. She does make up for all occasions so make sure you ask her about it.If you're looking for a hair stylist and don't know where to go and who to pick, I highly recommend Anh. I highly reccomend Korynn! I totally messed my hair color up while desperate for a pink balayage i got too confident with box dye haha. I had seen the amazing work she's done on a friend of mine which prompted me to get in touch with her. She was so polite and got me in in a such timely manner as my confidence was at an all time low.During our time together she listened to my hair desires, was compassionate, down to earth, gentle (I'm tender headed), and extremely knowledgeable/experienced. I followed my stylist Mark Reyes to this salon. Mark is an amazing stylist and I always trust his judgment in which salon he chooses to be based out of. I couldn't be happier with his choice of Evergreen. You're always warmly greeted by the manager Mariel. Their interior is beautiful and they offer a diverse selection of services. Elisa and staff are genuine artists! They treat their clients with the utmost care and provide quality services good for the body and the environment. My hair is crazy, but I have found a brilliant hair stylist in Elisa. She is hair smart and has an eye for all of the details. I'm updating my review because I've recently started seeing Heather for facials.  I had some not-so-great experiences with facials in the past and stopped getting them until a couple months ago.  Heather is friendly, professional, and knowledgeable.  She starts each appointment listening to my concerns and tailors the service based on that.  Also, whether you're there for a more relaxing experience or maybe a little less so with extractions, she'll give you the experience you want.  I've gone for relaxation so far on my visits (and oh how relaxing it is!) but plan on getting extractions done next time.  She uses Cosmedix products, which I've started using at home and really find to be effective.  I feel while still a work in progress, my complexion has improved since I've started seeing Heather and using Cosmedix.  The products are on the pricier side but are worth it since they last a long time and so far seem to be effective.  I've asked her for body product recommendations as well, and I must say I'm obsessed with the Hip & Chick Flower Power lotion that they also carry in the salon because to me it just smells sooooo good.I continue to see Holly as she's my favorite person for haircuts and has been for many years now.  She gives me exactly what I ask for and is great about making my hair look healthier and thicker.  On top of it all, she's super cute and bubbly and so much fun to talk to!  I always look forward to my visits with Holly :)  She has also introduced me to Davines hair products which they sell in the salon.  I still am a huge fan of the Kevin Murphy line, but Davines would be my next favorite.Prices for both haircuts with Holly and facials with Heather are very reasonable, and you can book appointments with them online.  Also, parking is usually pretty easy to find whether in the free lot across the street or on the street right in front itself.  (Just watch for the street signs.)  To sum it up, I'm a very happy client of both Holly and Heather :) More...

I was in town for MY wedding and needed a Mens cut that was a step up from my usual barber shop. A friend suggested Evergreen, and I could not have been more happy with the results. I booked online with Courtney two weeks out, then came in on a Tuesday afternoon. Staff was friendly as was Courtney. I described to her what I was looking for and the natural flaws of my own hair and head. She got me 100% and took the next 45 mins to give me the best cut I had in years. All for a cool $45.
