A fantastic local theatre and a great place to catch a play, children's entertainment or even a movie. We've seen many events at the Merlin and while the performances may have varied in scope and style it's fair to say I've enjoyed all of them and will return again. Every Christmas holiday season they show performances of a themed production, last year being a ballet themed presentation of Peter Pan. Once a month they also show an independent or foreign movie that draws a good crowd of local people eager to see something different. Refreshments are plentiful with soft drinks, ice creams, alcohol, sweets and if you're lucky home made cakes, and if you're really lucky hot chocolate and mulled wine. More...

Great intimate theatre with good views from all seats. Tea, coffee (excellent!), drinks, chocolate and Marshfield ice cream all available at the appropriate time, and not over priced. Metamorphosis was superbly performed by Beyond the Horizon. A thoroughly enjoyable evening! More...

A great show from Zoe Lyons at the Merlin. A wonderful theatre that actually looks down at the stage instead of up. Comfortable seating with good leg space is always a win for me :-)
