Excellent place and music. My only gripe is that you can't see the stage from the bar.

Went for lunch and was surprise to find besides myself there was only another two top dining, and as I was finishing my meal a four top came in. I had the Andouille B.L.T. with Garlic Mashed Potatoes. Which was fabulous and recommend by the waitress upon my request. It was plenty for me to enjoy there and take for later. The wait staff were attentive and good to me. I will return today for lunch to they the Blue Crab Etoufee with a nice coupon given to me by my waitress. Super excited hope I get same results.Back with update my Etoufee was great as well. Glad I went for it today. Needed a dance on my palette on this cold cloudy day. More...

Went here three years ago and want to go back. The Sunday brunch is phenomenal!! The biscuits are so light you have to have gravy to hold them down, so my husband says. The molasses bacon is addictive so get a couple of orders. The bloody Mary bar and mimosas are a wonderful compliment to the Creole flavors and jazz music. Its a busy place at times so relax, enjoy the music and drinks until the food arrives. Its worth the wait. More...

I came here with my family on a Sunday with my family for brunch and to listen to their live music. The food is always delicious and the music is great! It does tend to be a little busier for Sunday brunch so be prepared for that, but it is definitely worth the wait! More...

We blew in off the street without reservations on a busy Saturday night. After hearing we'd come all the way from Philadelphia the maître d' did not hesitate to a put a table together for us. The Midwestern hospitality grew with several free Hurricane cocktails. Woo! Unbeknownst to us it was Mardi Gras and we were treated like proper guests of honor by all the staff. The gumbo, jambalaya, and crawdads were all special in their own way. We picked Evangeline's on a complete whim and were so enormously surprised. Live music, great food, kind staff. What more could a traveller want? More...

Visited on a week night when the dining room was full but not too busy. The live music was good and festive. Jambalaya was spicy and filling served with quick friendly service.

We had an amazing experience at Evangeline's. We had a large party (more than 10) and they were very accommodating. We all started off with some cocktails;
they have an excellent selection ranging from champagne cocktails to classics like mint juleps. They have a great selection of whiskey and scotch too. After that, they took all of our food orders. I should add that I have to be gluten free or I will get sick. I mentioned this to our waitress and was happily surprised to find out that many of their menu items are gluten free. I ordered the BBQ shrimp and grits. Wow! Those shrimp and grits are delicious, savory and flat out amazing. Honestly, eating them was a notable life experience.
The evening we went there was a live band, I wish I could remember their name because they were great. The music really set the atmosphere. We wanted to hang around longer just to listen to them.
I really can't say enough great things about this restaurant; I'd be remiss if I didn't mention how organized they were considering our large party. Overall Evangeline's was a wonderful experience!
