Beautiful building and grounds with great facilities. The food was lovely altho there was a mix up and mine took over an hour to come out but I won't hold that against them.

We had a one night stay at Ettington Chase which we thoroughly enjoyed. The staff were lovely, the food was nice, the pool and spa were both great. Big upside was definitely the breakfast which was very nice. The only downside was that the pillows were uncomfortable for me but my partner was okay, we only had one bath towel, the bathroom was a bit dated. More...

OK it was a bit chaotic but our stay was enjoyable. Nowhere near to plug to plug the (very slow) kettle in. Asked for a heater but given a fan, then the fan was faulty. Casual place lots of men in shorts and tracksuits. Relaxed. Card to get in rooms worked! Bath smallest I've ever encountered. Don't go to the restaurant. This was late April and they were serving the autumn winter menu. Food greasy. Breakfast buffet not bad. Lots of choice except things to put on toast 4 jams and marmalade but no cheese, peanut butter or marmite. Quick easy drinks machine and very good vegetarian sausages on request. Staff all dressed smartly and hotel was listed as gay friendly. Tom was especially nice and helpful. I think there should be more lights in the drive there are lots of potholes which can be hazardous if you are walking at night. Nice place. More...

Nice hotel. Food excellent. Buffet style evening meal with plenty of choice. Breakfast buffet too. Staff all very friendly, helpful and professional. Rooms of a good standard; clean and tidy. Bar prices typical for a hotel. Swimming pool and leisure facilities all worth visiting. Few miles from Stratford. Easy to get to. Would be beautiful in the summer months. More...

Went back for a surprise short break for Valentine's after we honeymooned here 5 years ago. The rooms were clean and well stocked, the staff were very friendly and very helpful with everything we needed. As a disabled customer I found the rooms had plenty of space for a wheelchair and the hotel is wheelchair friendly throughout. We found the food in the restaurant had greatly improved and found out they have a new chef. Would greatly recommend this hotel More...

Had a lovely weekend there.Amazing breakfast and dinner with very friendly& helpful staff.I didn't have cash with me to tip and I asked what happens if I put it on the card. I attended a training day at Ettington Chase. The training room and facilities are good. Free tea & coffee. Lunch was in the restaurant and there were a number of choices - food standard was reasonable. Plenty of parking.

Upmarket hotel some rooms are some distance from reception and you are advised to keep your luggage in the car until you know where your room is. Standard rooms are exactly that. Happily the hot water system is excellent for washing. Like a lot of British hotels the rooms are too hot and there's not much you can do about it. The pool in the leisure centre is a reasonable size but the jacuzzi and sauna are on the small side for the numbers using it. Loved the device in the sauna for adding water to the heater. Booked through Groupon. Room very basic but clean. View from our window was a brick wall.
Could do more with the grounds to entertain guests.
Pool was OK but a bit cold. Jacuzzi was tiny and always occupied as was the sauna.
Buffet breakfast and dinner (in with the deal) was nice.
Staff were always friendly and willing to help.
Pictures of the rooms online looked fantastic but were nothing like what we got.
Over all a nice place, aimed more at conferences, but a bit underwhelming.

Staying two nights with a conference during the day. Check-in didn't go to plan as the booking was a corporate booking and the guys "system was slow" so couldn't see that it had been paid for so wanted a card, but eventually found it so no problems. Room was nice. Wi-Fi straightforward. Breakfast was good, asked for Vegetarian sausages which most hotels don't offer but they did so that was great (did take a while to come but they did come). Lunch was nice. Conference facilities were decent and the spa and pool added bonus. Would recommend coming back. More...
