Johnny, Ed, and team did an amazing job shooting our wedding photos, as well as running the photo booth! Both photographers came early to shoot pre-wedding pics. Us getting ready, the venue, our rings, etc. They also provided us with a keepsake collage of edited pics on the same day of the wedding for us to take home! It was an amazing touch! The photo booth props were super fun and they also give you a copy of everyone’s pics AND a flash drive with each single picture stored, yours to keep! I cannot say enough wonderful things about Essence! They go above and beyond, 110%! The edited photos were sent back promptly and we now have captured memories that will last us a lifetime. Johnny, Ed, and team did an amazing job shooting our wedding photos, as well as running the photo booth! Both photographers came early to shoot pre-wedding pics. I don't know any other photographer that would shoot us in a thunderstorm while being ambushed by a flock of mosquitos. Johnny was attentive and detailed and flexible. The best advice I have ever received and the best advice I will always give is: Don't cheap out on your photos. Seriously! ! For any event..including weddings. Save your freaking $10 napkins for another day and give your guests $1 ones instead... use that extra money and hire Essence Photo! The best part- they are affordable! If you are looking for quality photos- wedding, family, portrait or professional in general- Essence photography has your needs covered. They offer photo booths, 1 photographer shoots, 2 photographer shoots..even 3! Personally, we hired them for a destination wedding and portrait event and I could not have been more satisfied. Quality pictures, good communication, amazing price. What's to go wrong?! Oh, and did I mention that they are extremely reliable? Yeah, don't forget that tidbit! Johnny, the owner, can work in all types of lighting, settings.. whatever you name it. Request for him!! Although, his staff is perfectly amazing as well. The best part about him- he is a remarkable human being. He genuinely cares that you receive the highest quality photos and are satisfied beyond belief. Johnny has been there for me since day one. I was lucky enough to be introduced to him six years ago when I was in the process of looking for wedding photographers. He was so easy going, yet very professional and the images from our wedding could not have been any more perfect- thank you Johnny for capturing our special day, especially that dancing crotch shot LOL (inside joke).Over the past few years, I have gone back with my family (now with two kids) and taken "annual 808" photos so that we could hold on to our memories. I met Johnny back in 2012 when he did my wedding photos and my post wedding day shoot . He was very professional, kind  and patient.  My photos turned out fabulous. I live in California , but every year I visit Hawaii. I always make an appointment with Johnny to get my photos done! He did my My Maternity photos and family photos the last 6 years and I'm always happy with my portraits. He is great with kids and he gets your pics back to you in a timely manner. The secret to taking great photos is getting to know the subject. Knowing who the person is and then capturing their essence.

What is your vision for your event? How many people are you looking at for the event? How many hours? Which is the best side you like to be photograph?
What do you love most about your job?
I love what I do so it is not a job, it is my passion. I get to capture who a person is and lock it in for a moment that will last a lifetime. Creating a happy memory for my clients and their family.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I wanted more time to be creative on my own terms. To be able to do what I love anywhere at anytime.
Why should our clients choose you?
Over 15 years of experiences and this is not a hobby, this is my life. I shoot constantly almost everyday, allowing me experience in all type of situation. I have a fun personality because it give me joy to shoot so that energy resinate on the shoot and it will be a fun shoot.
