Having our wedding photographed professionally, so that we would have a record of our memories to keep forever, was something that really mattered to us. It’s the photographs that will help us remember everything about the day in the years to come. After choosing the venue, this was probably what we felt was the next most important decision to make. When we started looking, a friend from work recommended Erika to us, so we got in touch with her to make an appointment for a chat.We’re both not the type to pose for the camera, and neither really are any of our friends and family. Whilst we liked the idea of capturing some group shots of family and best friends with us on our wedding day (when else is everyone all together?), we really prefer photos that show people naturally, having fun. We also had quite a large number of children coming to our wedding, which was another reason to look for someone who was good at taking natural/spontaneous photos.When we met Erika we both liked her straight away – she’s a really nice person, no airs and graces, just genuine and relaxed. When you’re looking for someone to photograph all the important parts of your big day it needs to be someone you can feel relaxed with – it would be no good having someone you’re not very comfortable with photographing you on your wedding day!Erika showed us some of the work she’s done before and chatted about where we were getting married, what our plans were, and what we wanted in terms of photographs. We felt like she really listened to what was important to us, and could tell she cares about what she does.On the day itself Erika was a star. She helped guide us with different bits and bobs, like how to cut the cake (not as easy as it seems when it’s 3 tiers and everyone’s taking photos!). She even found some sparklers for us as she’d had an idea for some photos of the two of us, outside with the fairy lights behind us. Several of our guests have commented since the wedding that they really liked her.She had the photos edited and ready before we’d even come back from honeymoon – phenomenally fast! Once we’d got back we had a look at them all and they’re really lovely! The usb stick which she put them all on is really nice to keep as well – wooden in a beautiful wooden presentation box.We’d definitely recommend Erika to anyone looking for someone to capture their wedding day. Well what can I say, Erika is SO much more than a photographer. We don't live local and found Erika by chance and wow are we glad we did. From last minute supplier advice (the day before!) to keeping me the bride calm on the day when something went wrong she was simply amazing. Add to this the fact her photos are something else makes her one of s kind. She really listens to what you want and makes it happen. I couldn't have wished for any more than we got in her.

We choose Erika to be our photographer last year, once we had found our wedding venue. We thought Erika's style and personality would really show of the amazing venue Aikwood Tower in Scotland- she really did not let us down.

On the day, Erika arrived in Scotland and was buzzing with energy as she started snapping away getting general shots of the venue. She fits into the wedding party and celebrations well and you barely even notice she is there at times.

Both myself and my husband are not the most photogenic, and usually hide from the cameras, but Erika quickly put us at ease. We choose Erika for the journalistic style as we didn't want to have lots of posed shots and we feel that we definitely made the right choice.

Erika manages to capture your personalities and the atmosphere. We are absolutely blown away by the images captured and couldn't ask for anything more.

As for the turn around for the images- she blew our expectations out the window. We received the initial images two weeks after our wedding while still on our honeymoon and the finished USB arrived the day before we returned from our honeymoon. We couldn't have asked for anything more!

Erika has been absolutely fantastic, from the start of our journey with her right up until getting our pictures of our big day. If you're getting married and you both absolutely hate having your picture taken, you need to hire Erika! We chose Erika to cover our 10th wedding anniversary renewal of wedding vows in December 2017. And how happy are we that we did. Erika was with us throughout the day from us leaving to go to the Church and then to the reception afterwards. We have stunning photos and yet never really seemed to notice that she was there. The Church photos of the service are wonderful. All those beautiful memories of that day are now captured to re-visit at any time thanks to her skill. We used Erika for our wedding and it was truly the best decision we made! The reportage style really captured our experience of the day and Erika was so friendly and skilled at putting our guests at ease that it felt like we had a friend doing the photos. She was very reasonably priced and provided a much more personal service than you’d get from some of the bigger companies.
