About

ERE is a small Architecture Firm founded by me, Edward R Eichten, AIA, LEED AP BD+C, NCARB. Based in Minnesota, my designs are rooted in Scandinavian principles of simplicity and honesty. I have a foundation of design training in modern architectural principles, receiving a Masters in Architecture from the Illinois Institute of Technology, where Mies van der Rohe brought Bauhaus international design to the United States.

My wife and I have a very simple, classic 1950's rambler, we wanted to do an addition to the house, new garage space and refresh our kitchen. We picked ERE because we wanted something different and outside the box. We were so pleased with the attention to detail and the concept that ERE designed for us. Edward was available to answer any questions or concerns we had along the way. We have shared ERE with friends and co-workers. More...

Q&As

That I get to work with my clients to develop unique design solutions for their projects. It is exciting to explore opportunities or possibilities that exceed clients expectations!

Architecture is about people first. I enjoy the process of working with clients and stakeholders to develop the architecture for all to enjoy and experience!

I bring a wide range of experience to make each project successful. I have worked on large commercial buildings throughout the world, I have also worked on projects that are under 200 square feet. I take the same level of design rigor and process to each project. I consider the large questions, and sweat the details.
