My 5 year old joined nearly a year ago and loves it. He has even joined an extra sparring class and looks forward to tournaments. Great teachers and inspiring role models in the junior assistants. We tried many times over a 2 year period to get our son involved in a sport, club or something that he would enjoy, with an additional desire to improve his social skills. Football rugby gymnastics etc were all unsuccessful attempts at getting him active. EPIC Martials was introduced to us by a friend and weve never looked back. He loves the sport but more importantly the environment where it's contained. He respects the instructors like they are an additional part of his family and has forged many relationships of various ages over a short period of time, which has been fantastic for his confidence. In summary I have seen my son grow so much as a person since joining EPIC giving him confidence in himself, on the Matt and in all walks of life. My thanks goes to everyone at EPIC and everyone involved and long may this club continue. Just completed the 6 week bootcamp course and I have to say despite nearly being in tears at times, it was absolutely AMAZING. These guys will push you to your limits and you'll hate every alarm clock reminding you its Bootcamp day! However, after every session you'll come away feeling amazing and so pleased with yourself that you took part. I cannot recommend this enough. I have now signed up for the next 5 weeks of torture!! The club caters for beginners just looking for extra confidence and a fun environment up to producing some of the best Jnr kick-boxers in the country with many British squad members as well as European and world champions amongst their ranks.

My son, whose 7 years old, joined Epic coming up to a year ago & in that time his confidence has grown immensely. I can honestly say, we've been so lucky to have found a genuinely fantastic club! The instructors, both young & more experienced, are very friendly, professional & make every lesson fun for the kids. You get a real family feel every time you train or take part in an event. The one thing I will say, is it's not just the children who need to be committed, parents need to be also. As well as classes, there are gradings every few months & lots of tournaments & competitions to attend, but win or lose, my son has enjoyed every moment, which is what it's all about. Epic is an incredible martial arts club. My son joined just 9 months ago and has enjoyed every moment of his journey with Epic. His fitness has improved, he is more confident in everything that he does, and he absolutely respects the team around him, his coaches, and other competitors.

The coaching team is second-to-none, always giving so much to the children (and the families) by taking the time to understand what each child needs to become the best they can. Awesome martial arts club! My son's both joined the club at age 4 and have both turned into confident, fit and happy young boys. Epic is like a family, they are so supportive and tuned into each child they teach and help them gain confidence, skills and discipline. They strive to help your kids to achieve their goals and put in so much time and effort to achieve this. The classes are fun, energetic and all the coaches are great with the kids and work hard to bring out the best from each individual child. I used to joke that my boys are like dogs because they had so much energy and if I didn't take them out at least twice a day they would go bonkers in the house! Then I found Epic and it has been such a fantastic outlet for them. Really friendly and welcoming club. From previous experience some clubs try to push you straight into competing and just want your membership and licence fees, but NOT HERE! EPIC seem to really have a passion to be the best and want to nurture their students to become the best they can be whilst improving all aspects from, fitness to respect and discipline whilst maintaining a competitive edge.

My 6 year old had an amazing party at Epic Portishead. Andy and Matt led a big group of 6 year olds and they all had a great time doing all the games and activities. Great club to be a part of. Fun for our 5 year old who gets so much from it (fitness, confidence, progress). He loves his classes and gets excited about the tournaments too. Also as a parent I love the ethos they instill about working hard and learning to win and lose well.

Epic is a such a friendly club that makes everyone feel part of the family, whether you train once a week for fun or up to competing with the GB squad everyone is made to feel welcome. It is up to you or your child how far you want to go or how involved you want to be but the coaches will do all they can to make it the best experience possible for you. My son has been going to Epic Martial Arts for just over 18 months now, he was a typical 4 year old when he started who liked to bounce around different clubs for a few weeks before deciding he didn’t want to go again. We expected the same thing to happen at Epic and I can recall picking him up after his second lesson and he was sat there in his school uniform refusing to take part! He stuck with it and slowly the enthusiasm for Martial Arts started to take hold of him to the point that going to Epic was the only after school activity he was interested in, this was made possible by the hard work Andy, Matt, Pearce and Emma have put in with him at Chepstow and Andy Gill and Amy at the beginners sparring academy. We have seen him grow in confidence with every session and he soon went from a shy boy to wanting to be up and take part in every demonstration. His hard work and dedication has paid off and he was invited up to train with the older kids shortly after his 6th birthday to keep pushing him forward, something that he is incredibly proud of. Started late with the Epic family from previously being part of a team from my home town. I was welcomed and accepted from the very start. They are caring and passionate and push you beyond your abilities. The sessions are always challenging but very rewarding- Epic has pushed me beyond my limits. I have also made so many friends! Andy Cleeves and the tribe would do anything for anyone and are so kind hearted and are always focused on helping others on their journey. My partner is also very keen to start attending the Kickboxing sessions! I am very lucky to have found such a great team, and Epic family!
