We contacted Hal after he left us a message, offering to design our logo, posters and stationary.

Q&As

Your website is your first digital impression and you want to make sure it’s a great one. It should reflect everything you want potential customers to know and remember about your business. Successful businesses are always trying to improve the quality of their websites to meet the needs of their users. Often times, people are visiting your website because they are seeking out something. You want to ensure that they are finding what they are looking for quickly and with ease. You may have the most amazing business model and offer extraordinary customer service, but with a poorly functioning website, you could miss out on a significant amount of business and ultimately make a bad impression.

At Enovision we start by asking the new client the following 7 questions before we can start on the project:

Q1. What is the purpose, objective or goal of the project?
Q2. What time frame is provided and what’s the scope of the project?
Q3. Who is the primary contact person for the project?
Q4. What will be the measure of completion?
Q5. Will there be a continuing assessment of the project?
Q6. Which are the preferred channels and modes of communication about the project?
Q7. What is expected after the completion of the project?

Q1. What’s your business/organisation all about?
Q2.What sets your business apart from your competition?
Q3.What problems does your business solve?
Q4.Who are your prospective customers or visitors?
Q5. What do you want customers to know about your business/organisation?
Q6.What is your budget?
Q7. By what date do you need the project completed?

1. Research
I begin by gathering all known information on the project and defining my goals. For me, unless this is a project that involved zero collaboration (which is almost never the case), this Intel typically comes either straight from a client or from a creative brief. Once I have the all the necessary information, I always start by listing out adjectives that describe the look and feel of the project, otherwise known as the tone.

2. Sketching
It is important to get the ideas out quickly, so you can move onto the next one. The obvious solutions usually make it onto the paper first.
While I’m sketching I start to see what this can be in my head. I draw upon my inspiration and research as well as other past experiences. This is my opportunity to come up with a unique and functional solution. At the end of this, I should have a handful of ideas that I feel are the best and worth pursuing further.

3. Execution
Once I start executing, I may land on something completely different from what I originally planned. That is okay and it is natural. This will usually come from iterating on the computer. Allowing myself to get off track sometimes, but not forgetting the project's end destination.
