John was only too happy to help us where 3 of the major DIY shops failed to come up with a part for our kitchen tap. He patiently searched through his tray of assorted fittings and dismantled one to provide us with a single nylon washer and spring clip which has stopped our hot tap braying like a donkey with toothache. Before we walked through the door we were faced with the prospect of employing someone to fit a new mixer tap. 10 mins later we had spent £1 but saved hundreds. What a hero. More...
