Hi! My name is Daniel Martinez Hixson and I coach men and women on building bodies that they love through an intensive nutrition and fitness training program. My ideal clients are people who are interested in transforming their bodies and don't feel like they have the time, motivation, or knowledge to make it work and want someone who can help them get in shape, do it fast, and give them a clear way of how it will get accomplished.

Danny is very knowledgeable and truly cares about you and your fitness goals. He keeps you accountable and motivated on and off the gym. The workouts have a lot of variety and allow you to track your progress. Throughout my time here, I've seen improvements in my stamina and strength. I have been exercising with Dani in Empower health and fitness for about a year and half now. He is amazing!!! both as a trainer and as a nutritionist coach! With his help I was able to become fit and reduce my body fat percent from 22% to 16% and have consistent results for over a year. Before going to him I tried many gyms and programs but the only one that has worked so far has been this program. He makes the class very entertaining the time flies when you are having fun. I highly recommend to anyone out there looking to loose wheight or become fit to visit this program to try it out. You wont be dissapponted! More...

This gym made me actually like working out ! I’ve been coming here for about 4 years and it has changed my whole outlook on fitness. I used to be really intimidated of using super heavy weights and getting really muscular as a woman, but now I just want to push myself everytime I go in to work out!! Once I hit the same weight I was when I gave birth, I knew I had to do something before it got worse. I started looking everywhere and couldn't find any place that fit my work/mommy schedule. I hopped around a bunch of the "first free classes" at gyms, cross fit boxes etc. and did not like any of them. Then one day, I found Empower Fitness on a Instagram ad and realized it was close to my house along with convenient early morning classes, which is exactly what I was looking for. I thought what the hell let me reach out and it was honestly the best decision I ever made! I could tell Danny was genuinely eager to hear me out and take the time to work with my current fitness needs. He hosts a monthly intro class for new members in order to explain how his program works and give you a full assessment on where you are currently, for example BMI, weights, measurements and strength (he then does this monthly for current members to compare your results). I am on week two and he has not changed not one bit, super professional, none of that cocky personal trainer vibe, all while still kicking your a$$ at the same time! I was referred to Danny the owner by a good friend of mine and I am so happy I went to try one of his classes. Danny has been my coach, my mentor and my friend since day one! He has changed my life in many different ways by learning about my lifestyle, hobbies and habits. I have tried many many different gyms and Danny is the only trainer that has sat with me once a month as a “check in” to calculate my body fat percentage to make sure we are heading in the right direction or if he has to make changes to his nutritional plan. You're diet will make or break your health and fitness goals and needs to be addressed in a clear and practical way that makes nutrition simple and enjoyable. Nutrition is not all that complicated once you get passed all the noise. Most people want to eat healthy but struggle with trying to make too many changes too quickly. It's possible to make small changes that can lead to big results in a short period of time. It just takes the right knowledge and a plan that teaches you how to execute effectively.

We start by assessing your current situation and fill in the nutritional and training gaps that have prevented you from getting in the kind of shape that you want. After that assesment we create our training schedule and start incorporating a body type nutrition plan that works with your current or desired lifestyle. Workouts take place based on your availability and goals and every week we assess to ensure the effectiveness of the program. It's common for trainees to feel like they aren't doing much and still see impressive results. That's because we focus on the 20% of fitness and nutrition that delivers 80% of the results that people get and steer clear of the non essentials.

The secret is that there is no secret. Everyone has the ability to get extraordinary results and all it takes is the courage to do what's not comfortable and a powerful enough reason to stick to it.

What I love most about my job is seeing people live's transform as a result of them transforming their bodies. I've literally seen families and marriages transform, people take on new exciting careers, people trying new things they would have never dared as a result of the confidence and power they got from accomplishing they're health and fitness goals. It is extremely rewarding to see people discover a side of themselves that they didn't know was there or possible the aliveness and satisfaction it creates from them knowing themselves as someone who can accomplish anything.
