What inspired you to start your own business?
I'm the business owner, I started Emmira just last year. But I have been working in broadcast television and advertising for 20 years.
What got me moving to set up was the money that was being charged to companies for their video work... high end production seems out of reach for many SMEs, but it doesn't need to be. Sure, to get Hollywood level effects it's going to cost you something close to Hollywood money.
But at Emmira we can deliver 95% of Hollywood for 5% of the cost. And no one else is doing that.
A lot of video companies are either at the top end, where they are over charging massively for good quality work, or they are at the bottom end where they are charging tiny amounts for unreliable and poor quality work. There is no one charging middle money for top quality. That's what we do here at Emmira.
