Self building a house is a terrifying, arduous, joyful wonderful, stressful experience. Having Emmet on hand to guide us seamlessly through the planning and design process was the best decision we could have made.
We engaged Emmet for the design of a modern single story house in rural Mayo. Working with Emmet on the design process was a thoroughly enjoyable, exciting part of the project and our planning was submitted and granted without a hitch.
Emmet continued to help us and advise us through the build and we have ended up with a house that is beautiful and a joy to live in.

We contracted Emmet to design and oversee the building of a complicated two story house in Mayo. The design process was thorough where Emmet listened to our ideas and enhanced it with his design thinking.
Changes and attention to detail were welcomed and seamless. He took the time to explain the process and logic of his design and desire to create a living space that would enhance our lives. Emmet helped us to find and select a builder and the relationship and communication between them made this a less stressful experience and resulted in a house we are delighted with.
Our positive experience of building a house is at total variance to other friends and I put this down to investing in using a high quality architect. Building a new house for the first time is a daunting process and mistakes can be very costly and I highly recommend Emmet.

Emmet designed and supervised the construction of our home, which was the renovation of a 19th century cottage and substantial extension to that.
We had a very positive experience working with Emmet. He was extremely professional: he took on board the initial brief, and had endless patience with the back-and-forth over initial plans. Emmet closely supervised the construction and has a close eye for detail. He was clearcut in his advice and estimate re costings of the project and followed the project through to completion. We were fully satisfied with the result and have received many compliments and enquiries as to the architect from friends, and passersby. For his attention to detail and painstaking approach we would highly recommend Emmet.

I contracted the services of O' Donnell Architect for redesign of an existing old house and design of new extension in South Leitrim. Emmet managed the design, specifications and planning of the project. The sevice provided was professional, Emmet was always accessible and managed the project competently, taking the burden of red tape off me.
