My name is Emma Lord, I am a REPS qualified Personal Trainer based in Hertfordshire and I train and motivate ladies that wish to improve their weight, shape, energy levels and eating habits. I am available to travel to you or you can train indoors or out at my farm based studio and benefit from working out surrounded by nature.

Emma is life changing.

Her ability to listen and motivate are unmatched. She not only helped me with exercise but nutrition too and is one of the most encouraging people I have ever met. She never gave up on me even on those tricky weeks where I found it hard to fit healthy eating and exercise into my routine. I managed to lose 10kgs in just a few months simply from following her exercise plan. I then was able to tone and have more energy once I started to follow her nutrition plan.

I whole heartedly recommend Emma to anyone who wants to feel motivated and energized after spending time with her!

Emma is an absolute star!!
I started with her just over a year ago in preparation for my wedding but have carried on with her even after the big day because she's added so much to my life!
I have always really disliked exercise and actively avoided it but Emma has been so encouraging and made sure to find things I enjoy doing and now I'm stronger and fitter than I've ever been in my life!
I never feel self-conscious or pressured by her and always look forward to seeing her and also just chatting with her and generally having a good time with her, which isn't anything I ever thought I'd say about exercise.

What can I say about Emma . She came into my life about 20 months ago . She has changed my life . Couldn’t be with our Emma . She has helped with my weight , energy levels and general fitness as well as emotionally. I was diagnosed with a fatty liver but with her help and motivation I have reversed it with no medical intervention. What can I say about this wonderful women Emma. I was very nervous and was carrying alot of emotional weight and baggage when I first met her. Emma has done so much for me mentally and physically in only 5 weeks! I am literally a different person already! I am so happy I found her. She is super motivating but so down to earth at the same time. She pushes me to where im comfortable, helps with my eating habits and is just so supportive its crazy! A real girls girl!!! Has been through it all so is so understanding. I feel like ive made a friend for life and I now look soooo forward to seeing her for a work out and a good chat. Emma is an amazing trainer. Having seen many trainers on and off over the years, I finally feel like I have found someone who not only wants to get me to optimal health and strength but also ensures that it becomes a natural life long change rather than just a short term event to hit a goal. I never enjoyed working out and never did strength training in the past but now find myself just getting into the gym and pushing myself without having to mentally prepare myself for a work out. I feel so much stronger as a result, but more than anything, Emma has really brought the joy back into keeping active (even at my age!). I also love the fact that my 5 year old sees me working out and gets really involved. We fun little activity sessions together and I hope this encourages her to grow up with physical activity being a natural part of her life and not something she has to work at. Thanks to Emma, I’ve made so much progress in really a short space of time which I never expected and I would not hesitate to recommend her to anyone. More...

It's no exaggeration to say that Emma has changed my life. I spend my working day at desk and a day can easily pass where I take less than 2000 steps. .. which is a fast track route to weight gain and muscle wastage... after a few years back at work after having kids I was shocked at how quickly my fitness had diminished, I was sluggish and tired all the time. Between her circuits class and personal training sessions, somehow without any pain or pressure, Emma has got me totally back on track. I feel fit and strong again, Ive lost weight, I enjoy exercise and I am out running or doing something at least three time a week... not because I'm on a strict schedule but because I'm motivated. Emma has also been very mindful of old injuries about which I'm a little anxious, offering me workarounds for things I cant do. Working with Emma has been an absolute joy, I look forward to our sessions hugely... there is none of the usual dread of exercise, and I've achieved more with her than I ever have on my own. Emma has been great for me and I can’t imagine training with anyone else now. She really gets to know your characteristics around body and diet. I have progressed with weights quickly and Emma makes sure she is pushing you to get results but not where you feel uncomfortable. I always feel great after my sessions with Emma and look forward to them too. The sessions are tailored to me and Emma makes sure she changes things around so it’s never boring. A free initial consultation will help me understand your lifestyle, goals, likes and dislikes and how we can work together to meet your needs and aspirations.

Areas covered will be:

Exercise History

Any other current challenges that affect your fitness and lifestyle.

From there, I will put together a training programme and nutritional guide that we can implement together. This is likely to include a mix of cardio and free weights, along with some fun and energising bursts of activity in order to maximise results in the time you have available to commit.

For me the secret to getting the body of your dreams is simple. Enjoy the journey and enjoy each little positive change as it happens. Making and keeping a strong mind body connection will really help keep you on track. Simple changes step by step and working with a lifestyle rather than an unrealistic unsustainable diet or quick fix will give you the body of your dreams over a longer period of time with a sustainable result. Mixing weights and cardio in the right way will help you ensure that you burn more calories while resting and your body will become stronger and more resilient. Changing eating habits bit by bit will help you embrace a clean and healthy lifestyle which becomes a pleasure itself and means you will still be able to have a treat every now and then with no negative result.

I really enjoy working one to one with people and working for myself allows me to do that within the hours I am child free and be flexible enough to meet the hours and locations that my clients need.

I have undergone my own weight loss journey and understand how it can be daunting to get into fitness. You can receive bespoke one to one sessions, based on your goals, likes, dislikes and availability. Sessions will be tailored to suit you and can be broken down into:

Spending an hour improving your mobility and fitness works hand in hand with unloading your stresses of day to day life out walking in nature.

Many people now benefit from an improvement in both their mental and physical health by embracing this as part of their lifestyle.

If you prefer to be in the comfort of your home with no physical interaction, zoom sessions are available and can take many forms dependant on your goals, much like in person, one to one Personal Training.

Held in house or on zoom, 30/45/60 minute sessions are available and can be based around individual or group needs. This adds real value to staff, their well-being and encourages teamwork and productivity.

One to one sessions are available for children and adolescents face to face or on line. These support their physical development and offer a safe space to chat and explore activity. I am DBS checked and have delivered one to one sessions and circuit classes for children in schools.
