Not sure where we would be in our local work at Families for Justice as Healing or our National work at The National Council for Incarcerated and Formerly Incarcerated Women and Girls if it had not been for and continues to be for the guidance, support and sisterhood from Robin and her team. As someone who does rural organizing work in the south & Appalachia, it's seldom we meet people in the Northeast who are willing to not only listen to our stories, but who fundamentally believe in us and connect us to the people and resources to keep our movements going. Robin and the team she brings really gets it, and sees the impact and value of community centered, grassroots work. Her humor, attention to detail, and understanding of the difficult intersections we do our work in are invaluable.
