Embree House Wedding Cakes

I have to commend Embree House on their excellent customer service as well as working with me through a pick-up issue. They were very patient with me as I figured out the logistics of getting the cake from their bakery to a destination that was 2 hours away. They offered to meet us halfway which was very generous. In the end, we were able to pick it up, and they were so gracious despite the fact that I probably was being a bit frustrating haha. The cake was delicious and everyone raved about it!! I am so happy I chose Embree House Wedding Cakes to do our wedding. Our wedding was winter themed so I requested pine cones and berries, and they did just that! The cake looked wonderful and right at my expectations. It was gorgeous! Working with them was so fun. Taste testing was a super fun experience, and I advise all couples to do so as their options are very, very delicious! To start off, communicating with Ginine was one of the most pleasant experiences I have ever had from a vendor. I gave her what my ideal vision was for my cake and she was constantly looking for molds to make my vision a reality. Before we even had our consultation Embree House had given me quotes and detailed descriptions on how my ideal cake would be set up. My Fiancé and I then went to do our cake tasting with Embree House about 2 weeks ago and I can't applaud them enough on their cake, frosting, and filling selections! They were all so delicious we ending up going with 4 different flavors because we had such a hard time deciding! We are beyond excited to see the finished product of our wedding cake and the grooms cake.
I personally love the fact its a mother and daughter operating this business together. It makes it feel more personal and you can definitely tell the passion and love they both have for their business.

They were awesome to work with, the tasting was amazing, they made it difficult to choose as everything is delicious. We picked four different kinds of cake for our 4 tiered cake, making it something for everyone. We went very traditional in looks, but we gave left them fresh flowers at the venue and they had it perfectly set before the reception began. These ladies are absolutely wonderful! Our cake was beautiful and we absolutely loved it! It was also delicious. We loved it so much that we took the top tier on our honeymoon to enjoy then instead of freezing it and waiting to eat it a year later. They were wonderful to work with, and we loved the tasting. They make all kinds of flavors of cupcakes with icing, and you can try all kinds of combinations. They also provide little cups of the fillings they have. It was all so wonderful that choosing our flavors was a really tough choice! We had a lot of leftovers, and they sent them home with us so we could continue trying them while we made our decisions. Their cakes are also not as expensive as several of the other places we contacted. Even with including delivery to the venue and setup, which was at least an hour and a half away, the cake was not as much as it would've been had we gone with another bakery. My cake and cupcakes were absolutely gorgeous! I had a 6 inch cake and the rest were cupcakes that sat on round wooden tiers that The Embree House provided. Perfect for my country/rustic wedding. I requested the cupcakes be done as a hydrangea in memory of my MIL. They turned out better than I ever could have imagined. Not only were they beautiful but they were the best cupcakes/cake I ever tasted. All of my guests raved about them. The best buttercream icing ever and the flavors I chose for the cupcakes were great....latte, strawberry and vanilla. We tried cakes from a number of places and as soon as we met these ladies and had their cake, we knew we found our perfect match. They were so fun to work with and our cakes were gorgeous and delicious. We had a few special requests, like a favorite kind of frosting they did not have, and they made it for us and knocked it out of the park. For the groom's cake, they did a photo transfer for us that was very high quality, and my husband lit up when he saw how awesome it looked and then couldn't stop smiling after eating the cake itself it was so good. I would highly recommend using Embree House and I can't wait to find another event where I will need a cake because I will be calling them for sure! The most difficult part in the process of hiring Embree House to bake our wedding cake was deciding which flavor we wanted. We tasted several delicious cupcakes and decided that we wanted to stick to the traditional almond flavored cake. I came to the tasting session with photos in hand and the fabulous ladies at Embree House did the rest. The cake was both beautiful and scrumptious. Besides the top tier (which we can't wait to eat on our 1st Anniversary), every slice was eaten after some went back for seconds. Ginine and Patricia of Embree House will provide you with a beautiful wedding cake at a competitive price. Not to mention, a cake that tastes just as wonderful as it looks! We went with a 4-tier champagne-colored, Damask print cake; the detailing was very intricate and VERY beautiful! For each of the tiers, we chose different flavors and fillings: butter cake with lemon filling, white chocolate cake with strawberry filling, and lemon cake with raspberry filling...all of the flavors were incredible, and our guests wholeheartedly agreed!! Our top tier was apple jack--absolutely delightful as well! We knew from the moment we tasted their cakes that we had found the one! Not to mention, the Guinness pint glass groom's cake (made with chocolate ganache...*swoon*), was one of the most delicious cakes we had ever tasted!
