Eloise Standen Hair & Makeup Artist

Had some communication issues that Eloise said were because my emails weren’t going through but even after this seemed to be sorted, I was still waiting weeks sometimes between replies. I replied in January about setting a trial date then didn’t hear anything for over 9 weeks. When I later asked in Instagram messages (because at least there is confirmation if a message has been seen) if that email had gotten through, Eloise did not address this at all.

With just over an hour before I was leaving for my trial, I received a message asking if I could delay my trial by an hour which I later found out was because the bride before me had arrived late. If the person before is late then that is really on them and they should have had to deal with a shorter trial, not try to move my time. I’m autistic and find plans changes difficult enough as it is but now that Eloise has made me feel unimportant and that I can’t trust that I would be a priority even on my wedding day, I am having to look for a new hair and make up artist with under 3 months to my wedding.

I don’t believe in the wedding complex that a bride has to feel super magical and special but I don’t think I deserved to feel like an inconvenience or an afterthought to be cast aside because of another bride’s lateness like this. I hope Eloise doesn’t make any other brides feel as unimportant as me and might consider writing a clause on lateness to trials into her contract to avoid this situation affecting someone in the future and I hope the bride who was late was happy at least because I obviously didn’t matter as much as they did.
