When my fiancé and I got engaged last spring, one of the most important decisions we made was having Ellie be our photographer for our wedding. We had fallen in love with her timeless, classic, natural light style and knew she had to be our gal. Fast forward to our engagement session a few months later, this would be our first time ever having someone professional take our pictures, she instantly made us feel comfortable and as if we’d been friends for years! She never made us feel forced or posed and effortlessly captured our day. About seven weeks ago we got married and there’s a reason Ellie is the best. When we got our wedding pictures back, I can honestly say there’s not a bad one in the bunch, and by bunch I mean hundreds of beautiful photos. Where to even begin? Not only does Ellie have an insane eye for detail and the best editing around. She’s an incredible person and makes being in the camera so easy! We were nervous about doing our engagement photos and first look photos before the wedding but she took all those nerves away and guided us. She’s easy to talk to and makes the time fly by. Ellie is incredible!! She did our engagement and wedding photos and I'm so happy we chose her. She's incredibly talented and lovely to work with. My husband and I aren't very comfortable in front of cameras, but she put us at ease and made it fun. Finding the right photographer that you jive with is key because it can make or break your vibe on the big day. Ellie has a calm and happy presence which I really appreciated. The photos turned out insanely beautiful and I'm so grateful to her for giving us these special memories that we can look back on for the rest of our lives. She also cares about the details. Ellie did our engagement and wedding photos in February/November 2018. She is so incredibly thoughtful, creative, and professional, and it was a complete joy to work with her through all the stages of planning. When I first reached out to her, she suggested an in-person meeting to get a sense of our personalities and vision for the wedding, and after that she totally ran with our ideas and made the whole thing come together like a dream. She is so easygoing and laid-back, and simultaneously so talented at directing poses/movement. I was imagining there would be some moments of stiffness or uncertainty in the photos, especially because my husband doesn't love to be photographed, but even he said afterward that he felt completely natural and at ease, and the pictures absolutely reflect that. Our personalities and spirit are so beautifully caught, and we've looked at the photos almost daily since we received them because they make us so happy! I cannot give any higher recommendation, and I hope that if you are a bride considering Ellie for your photos, you don't hesitate (for one, because she is so in demand!). Ellie is so talented at capturing moments of couples and families! That's what I love about her work the most. I'm a makeup artist and I'm lucky that I get to work with Ellie at weddings often. When I know she's the photographer at the wedding I'm working, I know it's going to be a great day and the photos will be fantastic.
