Elle Hitchens Makeup

Elle did the make up for myself and my mum on my wedding day without having had a trial beforehand. I honestly cannot recommend Elle enough. She was such a breath of fresh air in every way. Not only did she make us feel like we were getting ready with a best friend but she also made us feel so relaxed and calm. The personality of the people you spend your wedding morning with is a really important thing and you actually couldn't want anyone better there with you. I must also point out that on the morning of my wedding I had barely slept the night before and had barely any sleep for 2 weeks prior to this. My eyes were dry and shrivelled up and my skin was in a state having had a breakout as a reaction to a lip wax. Elle made me feel in such safe hands. She really has got an incredible gift and is uniquely talented at what she does. She is an absolute master in her field and I honestly felt I had hired the absolute best. She absolutely transformed me and because of her I felt so beautiful and confident all day which honestly was a miracle considering how I looked when I woke up that day! I must also add that I have never seen my mum look as glowing and glamorous as she did after Elle did her make up and so many people commented on how fantastic she looked! Elle is everything you want in a make up artist- apart from being DAMN good at her job, she is a wonderful, warm, calming presence on the day! Elle dealt with awkard mothers, teenage pimple tantrums and one stressed bride with a bit of stubborn fluff stuck in her eye (!) in such a calm and reassuring way, I almost wanted to take her up the aisle with me! ;)
I chose Elle because she does not try and make everybody look the same- she listens and creates the 'look' that you are comfortable with-only better than you imagined it!

A friend told me 'you HAVE to have Elle to do your wedding make up' and I am very glad I listened! Elle spent time getting to know me, my style and what I wanted from my make-up/wedding at the trial so that she could create a look that was exactly how I hoped it would be. Not only was the finished result amazing, but it meant that on the day Elle was able to get on and do everything, whilst chatting away to me and helpng me feel calm and relaxed! When a friend recommended Elle to do my wedding make up, I'm so glad I listened! Elle did the bridal make-up for our wedding on 20 May and what a fantastic job she did. I don't tend to wear heavy make-up so I was nervous about wearing a full face all day but I needn't have worried. Elle listened to my concerns, took them on board and the make-up was beautiful on the day. It gave me the confidence I needed to walk down the aisle. My bridesmaids looked beautiful too - Elle picked a gorgeous gold shimmery shadow for them which complemented their pastel coloured mix & match dresses. If you are looking for a make up artist for your wedding then look no further! It's no easy task pleasing 1 bride, 4 bridesmaids and 1 mother of the bride. ..but Elle was able to do so. I opted for a trial before the wedding and Elle was quickly able to achieve the look that I wanted which provided me with much reassurance. On the morning of the wedding, the weather was not on our side and Elle kept myself and 4 bridesmaids in good spirits. I asked Elle to do my makeup for my wedding in August this year. I travelled to Bristol to have a makeup trial beforehand and Elle was very welcoming. She worked with exactly what I had in mind. On the wedding day, Elle made me feel so relaxed. My bridal makeup was absolutely gorgeous, better than I had imagined! The bridesmaids looked equally as gorgeous and we had a lot of complements on our makeup throughout the day. My makeup stayed on all day and long into the night! When organising a wedding, so much emphasis goes on how on the bride will look. Rightly so, it is your day to shine all eyes on you.
As I made my way to Bristol to meet Elle for the trial I was instantly put at ease. Elle welcomed me with a beaming smile, a warm inviting setting and a serious make up brush set! The end result took my breath away, flawless and fabulous.
The day of the wedding I couldn’t have asked for more. Elle has a calming energy and was what I needed whilst I sipped champagne with butterflies in my stomach and excitement in the air. Everyone looked stunning, the make up was perfect for me, the bridesmaids and my Mum. The photos are magical, memories which will last a lifetime. Amelia was one of my vendors which I booked early in my wedding preparation. Elle is an incredible make up artist. Myself, 3 bridesmaids and my mum all had make up and we all looked beautiful. I said to her that I don’t really have cheek bones but by the end I did and it looked so natural. It went so well with the old Hollywood glamour theme and everyone’s make up stayed on all evening. I just wanted to say a massive thank you to the wonderful Elle for doing such a fantastic job of our bridal party make up. All the girls looked beautiful and they were all really pleased with the make-up choice. The colours really complemented their dresses & the eye shadow choice by Elle was spot on. And thank you so so much for my make-up. I don't wear too much make-up so was quite nervous as to how it would look on the day. But, it looked incredible and didn't need touching up at all! And the foundation was enough to cover my flaws but also looked natural even when the sun caught my face. You really listened to my concerns & took them on board & I really appreciated that.
