Chris and his team at Elite K9 are absolutely top notch. I got a Rottweiler puppy and then Covid hit so we couldn’t socialize him. The situation got so bad we couldn’t have people over to our house and eventually couldn’t take him on walks. To make a long story short… within weeks Chris and Meatball were best friends and the changes are night and day! Elite K-9 and Chris have been AMAZING to work with! Our Rottweiler, Meatball, was a COVID puppy that had ZERO socialization which is super important for a rottie. He even jumped the fence & our neighbor called animal control. He wouldn’t even let Chris in the house the first time we met, but now he’s one of his favorite people! Chris has always been clear and concise with training. He is also very responsive in between training sessions for questions or concerns. Meatball is doing so much better and I know with Chris’ great instruction and training techniques he’s going to be the best dog he can be. We adopted a 4-year-old Belgian Malinois this summer. She's such a sweetheart, but we weren't sure how best to train her or work through some of her behavioral challenges. Chris has done an amazing job training our dog Brownie. She is a 2 year Australian Shepherd/Labrador and her temperament is more Aussie than anything! He was super honest and upfront that she would be a challenge (she was very protective, wouldn't go on walks well, would bark the entire time in the home with guests, would lunge at cars on walks, overall very aggressive/protective behaviors even though she's never bitten), but we worked with her closely and she has made gigantic strides. Chris is always very professional, leads by example, corrects where you are providing an incorrect command, and helps guide you. We wanted a trainer that would show us the work to do instead of a board and train and he has exceed our expectations. We also just got a black lab puppy and we are already training him alongside our Aussiedor and he is catching on so quickly! I would highly recommend Elite K-9 Training to anyone and everyone! Chris’s temperament and the way he acts and treats people on social media is disqualifying for someone who wants to be entrusted with training your precious dog. He personally attacks people (with vulgarity) who are posting items for sale on a community page that he doesn’t agree with, and then lashes out and blocks anyone who points it out. This is relevant, as it shows the character or lack thereof. He then goes on about his “freedom train”, while not respecting the freedom of others. After only ONE day of training, Harvey has almost mastered the Sit, Stay, and Heel commands in multiple different environments with multiple different distractions. It is hard to believe but he is a completely different dog thanks to Chris Winkler at Elite K-9 Training. Cheryl has done 3 trainings with my 6 month old Bernese Mountain Dog and it has been incredible. He is listening, being accountable and is no longer pulling me across the universe while we walk. I am SO grateful for the training Lucky received. Cheryl and Chris were the ultimate dog whisperers who gently and firmly trained a wild Golden rescued from the streets of Istanbul to become a well-mannered boy who not only knows basic commands but can also escort me into stores and the airport. He is on his way to becoming a service dog rather than an undisciplined dog. Friends marvel that Lucky has changed from a flight risk to walking beside me without a leash. Wonderful very friendly help out with all questions

Im so thankful i found elite k-9 training i have a pit bull whos very poeple aggressive/ dog aggressive n i called around and everyone ive talked to without even meeting my dog suggested i put him down without a doubt unfixable. It was so devastating until chris n his team showed up a hour after receiving my phone call! Not only did he ease my mimd but he gave us hope! I would recommend them to my family n friends! I want to start out by saying I got into contact with 4 "professionals" who insisted I put my dog down, without even meeting him. I was devastated and gave it a second thought. With the help of Cheryl and Kendra, not only did Reagan gain confidence in herself, but we did too! This has been an emotional learning experience, but for the better. We said at our consult that we had made peace with knowing that we could probably never take her out in the community but just wanted to have peaceful walks. Lucy has been doing private training with the amazing Cheryl from Elite K-9 Training. Cheryl has been amazing from the start helping my big girl build confidence. She also helped me build confidence in working with Lucy! Lucy is typically aggressive to men and bigger sized dogs and will react out of fear and lunge to bite. We have been training Lucy to be confident by building up her general training in heel, stay, come, break and much much more! Well after a few sessions it was time to test her and have the lead trainer of Elite K-9 Chris come work with us. He wanted to be sure Lucy was ready to participate in group training. I was nervous but I knew I had to trust and see how Lucy would do. Lucy who has typically always reacted aggressively to men and big dogs and has been for a while would be put to the test with Chris. I am so so proud to say that because of the training I received from Cheryl Lucy did not react! Lucy allowed Chris to handle her without aggression and allowed 2 beautiful German Shepards come around her after working with her and helping her focus on us not what she is afraid of. I will never forget the day I first met Chris R Winkler because he literally chased after me and Tuxedo to give me a business card for his personal dog training business, Elite K9. If you have ever had the honor of meeting Chris, you know that his enthusiasm is always abundant! It's also contagious, so you can't help but be drawn to him. Oh and did I mention his ability to train dogs and handlers is a divine, anointed gift from God? Bernie is a 110 lb GSD/St. Bernard (St. Shepard). He was a rambunctious and very strong puppy! After a couple close calls for my wife (about the same weight), we decided that obedience training by a pro was in order. Val did the internet search and phone interviews and liked Chris’ attitude, confidence and enthusiasm. Bernie had zero self control and we had zero voice control and no confidence - not a good combination! Chris initially came to our house and did a couple of private lessons and received some personal experiences with Bernie’s behavior. Chris tailored the subsequent training to Bernie’s unique needs. We mutually set goals and a base timeline. Chris realized that Bernie wanted the type of discipline and training Chris was delivering. Bernie ate it up! If he wasn’t a dog, you’d swear he was smiling. But a key point is that our confidence was at the same low level as Bernie’s behavior. Chris made sure we received as much training as Bernie. being a very skeptical dog owner I hired Chris to help me with my reactive pitty cross. Chris felt he was a level 9 out of 10 when he first met my guy Jourge. after our sessions. After only a handful of lessons my 2 boys are drastically different, so well behaved and easy to manage. I had my daughter in July and up until the past month I never thought about walking her and the dogs at the same time but today I tested it out. Busted out the baby carrier and leashed up the dogs and we were off! It started out so well I decided to take my longer route (1 mile) around the neighborhood and not a single issue!! We even saw 3 bunnies, 1 squirrel and pasted 4 barking dogs in their yard and my 2 boys didn’t flinch or act up once! Thanks so much for helping us!!! Outside of Chris holding our dog off the ground by his leash, the basic training was fine. We had agreed to start advanced training and that we would pay $600 for 10 sessions. When I tried to confirm our appointment, not only did he tell me he would not be there at our agreed upon time, he also told me he was changing our pricing to $750 for 5 sessions. The customer service I received during this interaction was very disappointing and left me feeling like he doesn’t care about the dogs as much as he cares about the money and he cares very little about agreements he makes. Chris has always been so wonderful and helpful with training out two pups. We did 3 sessions with our husky and he walks on a leash wonderfully now and just is more obedient. We are doing 7 sessions with our German Shepherd mix and she has improved so much in just 5 sessions. Walks well on a leash, stays when told, walks in heel like a champ, and is way more obedient and gaining some confidence. We have more sessions to come with her and I can’t wait to see how much more confident she gets in herself! We have had a wonderful experience with Elite K-9 Training. Our trainer is Chris and he has done a fantastic job helping us train our dogs. Our experience has brought us closer to our pooches and we can tell that their obedience around the house and out in public is a million times better. I highly recommend Chris! He has done a fantastic job with our dogs. Our one dog was a terror to get her nails trimmed and most recently when we went to the vet to get her nails done they said it was like a whole different dog was back there and only charged us $7 for the trim when it was usually around $40 because she was such an angel. Our other dog who used to be trained quickly remembered that he used to be a well behaved dog and learned many new tricks that makes him be an even better behaved dog. We were at our wits end with their misbehaving and Chris stepped in and turned them around and saved our sanity! He also gave us so many tricks and tools to make sure that they continue to improve over the years and don’t slide back in to their old antics. I have seen such an improvement in my dog and we're only half way through! For example, when we first started she hated car rides. She was always nervous, vould never sit still and cried until we let her out. Now she just lays down and enjoys the ride. I never thought she would get to that point. We’ve known Adam for a few years now. I figured if he could train our teenage son to play lacrosse, he could handle our Boxer! Seriously, Adam has worked our Boss to a much better place than where we started in just a few lessons! Still a ways to go, but we have no doubt that we will get there. I cannot recommend these guys enough! We've been working with Adam for the last few weeks and I still can't believe how much my dog has improved in just a few short sessions. My dog went from barking and growling at every little sound to being more confident in his surrounds and overall more relaxed during the day.
