Kevin with Elite Entertainment was the definition of professional, whether it be with his craft or with his customer service! He went above and beyond for my wife and I, especially when it came to the last week "crunch time" to figure everything out. Kevin and his son just dj'd a 1920's themed 40th birthday party for my daughter and did a fabulous job. They were extremely professional, listened to our requests and made the evening go smoothly and with much fun had by everyone - -aged 3months to 80! Kevin worked closely with us from the start to ensure that every musical choice played at our reception would fit in with the fun and lively environment we wanted for guests. However, our goal was jeopardized by a chance storm that knocked out the power at our venue only halfway through the reception. Kevin saved our reception by being creative and attaching cables to his own truck to re-start the music. We were able to enjoy the music for the rest of the night due to his quick thinking. Our wedding had to be moved due to Hurricane Matthew. Our plan was to hold the event on Edisto Island. Unfortunately, we had a week to come up with "Plan B".

Kevin was more than happy to help us out in our wedding day - even after having an earlier event! Not only that, but quickly came up with our play list, accommodated our special requests and played music all of our guests enjoyed. I couldn't have asked for anything more.

Kevin is the world's best DJ. Honestly I am so grateful to him -- I truly feel the wedding day would have been lost without him. Not only was he perfect as a DJ and played the best music and all the songs I wanted and all the songs my kids loved dancing to, but truly he was also my wedding organizer for the day too because without him making announcements and helping us figure out how to walk down the aisle and when, announcing our first dance, and even announcing when it was time to blow bubbles as we left, I just don't feel like the event would have flowed anywhere near as smoothly as it did because of Kevin. Kevin was our choice of DJ for our wedding on May 7, 2016 and he is the essence of the word Professional. It was a multi-cultural event with people of Colombian, Mexican, Italian and American backgrounds and Kevin kept the reception rocking with his smooth flowing music choices that kept everyone dancing all night. We were nervous that one group may feel left out if the music wasn't done right but Kevin put all our nerves to rest with how well he handled the playlist. Kevin far exceeded our expectations as a DJ. He met with us multiple times before the wedding face to face and was extremely easy to communicate with from phone calls to emails and texts. During the reception he wasn't stuck behind the DJ booth. He constantly made rounds, checking on my wife and I and also making sure guests were having a good time. Our reception was held on the rooftop of the Holiday Inn Center City in Charlotte, NC and the sound of the music even in the busy city was perfect. Kevin had awesome lighting effects and everyone could be heard very well during speeches and toasts. Kevin is also a genuinely nice guy. When it comes to songs he has them all. I'm not a dance song person (any more), pretty much country. But when it came for dance songs at the reception, Kevin took care of it at the highest level. Words cannot express how pleased we were with Kevin at Elite Entertainment. He absolutely went above and beyond for our wedding. A week or so before the wedding, as a nervous bride, he completely calmed my nerves when we met to discuss the wedding timetable. The day of the wedding Kevin made sure that everyone was in place and that things went smoothly.. From having our guests sit down after the ceremony began, to bringing us ice water after the ceremony he really was on top of things. He had all the traditional songs you would want played at your wedding and went out of his way to make sure he had all the random songs we requested. I can't believe I haven't reviewed Elite Entertainment, yet?!?Kevin DJ'd one of the largest events I've ever thrown and he was absolutely wonderful. Not only was he professional from start to finish, but he was helpful, listened to what I was trying to accomplish and stayed on point all night! It's so refreshing to find a DJ who is truly in the business to make his customers happy and play to the crowd instead of his own ego.If you're looking for a DJ for a wedding, special event or corporate party - Kevin has the equipment, know-how and *people skills* to get it done. Great value for what you get, Kevin Porter (the DJ) has great suggestions and is very flexible on how involved or interactive you want him to be. We didn't give any song suggestions for the reception and what he picked on his own was PERFECT. He was very nice and helpful at all our meetings prior to the event and was set up well before start time.
