I highly recommend the Elevated Learning Academy Personal Trainer's course to anyone interested in getting a solid grounding in the science, training techniques and ethics of being a Personal Trainer. Whether you are a young person interested in entering an industry that is one of the few forecast to grow by leaps and bounds in the coming years or an older individual like me who was seeking a new direction in life, ELA offers an intense, practical introduction to the world of fitness training.I wrote the ACE exam four weeks after finishing my practicum. I passed with a very comfortable margin. I had read so many horror stories online about the experiences of people who'd written the ACE exam without having taken any course. Trust me. I assure you that whatever the ELA instructors will put you through and the exams they'll create will be tougher than the ACE exam itself. I cannot recommend working with ELA enough! I spoke to one of their classes and received a warm welcome, great questions, and lots of interest for a practicum. I was impressed with their level of professionalism but also "real" nature and honesty around the personal training industry. From the class, I was able to work with a practicum student and loved how she was always ready to watch, interact, and even take over on the spot. I appreciated her enthusiasm, willingness to learn, and great people skills - she made people at ease and jumped right into their sessions with them. After much research I came across Elevated Learning Academy. I decided to enroll in the Personal Fitness Teainer Diploma program and I am so glad I did. The instructors, Leah and Daniel were extremely knowledgeable and prepared me for the industry I was entering into. I would recommend anyone interested in becoming certified to check them out. I am а current student at Calgary ELA and enjoying every day of it!I have always been well read, and honestly speaking, did not expect this amount of new and highly useful information. Our instructors are also absolutely great: very friendly, enthusiastic, approachable, and helpful. For sure, they have plenty of practical knowledge on the courses they teach. Especially, I like our lead instructor, Rachel. I am sure we are very lucky to have her in our class. I like her teaching style and demonstration of exercises and other course materials. My decision to sign up for ELA's Applied Nutritional Science Diploma course, was not one that I made lightly, but I am so glad that I did. the tutorials are so informative and interesting. Elevated Learning Academy's in class instruction was designed in a way the really brings to life the lessons in the tutorial. As well ELA brings in guest speakers that you can talk to and ask real life questions about the industry and business, this was so helpful. Elevated Learning Academy was one of the best post secondary education institutions I've ever attended. The instructors are friendly and a great resource to draw knowledge from. Course material is well paced and very indepth for the time frame it is presented in. The facility has recently changed locations, but from my previous experience, it was a great learning environment that caters to a more personalized experience; rather than large lecture halls.Thanks to ELA having a great reputation with the industry's best, I was able to network and have found my career! Signing up for the Personal Fitness Trainer Diploma with ELA was a tough decision for me. But after going to a couple of the classes, it was a no brainer. The staff/instructors were very knowledgeable, easy going and helpful. The technical and hand-ons experience provided by ELA gave me the proper tools not only to pass the ACE-CPT exam but to open and operation my own personal training business. I took the Personal Training Diploma program here, and felt it was the right decision. It was suggested to me by my trainer, who was previously my gym's fitness manager. He had taken Can Fit, but said Elevated Learning Academy and there ACE certification, would be much more in depth. I found the Course was full of things I wanted to know, needed to know, and things I never even thought of. The Location was easy to reach, and every member of the staff was pleasant and helpful. When I first signed up to acquire my personal training certification, I had no idea how in depth the material would be. I'm pretty sure my fellow students felt the same way and we would exchange many a stressful joke about how much we needed to learn. Obtaining my certification was a huge commitment of my time and energy and I truly enjoyed every moment of it. The instructors were approachable and patient and provided a fun atmosphere, which made some of the material much easier to absorb.
