We have been running since 2008 and helped many individuals feel better by improving fitness and strength, helping them to lose weight, gain muscle mass, build their self confidence and teach them kickboxing.

I have been training with David for a while now as I finally got to a stage when I could no longer ignore the expanding waistline and the slightly out of breath feeling when climbing stairs. This isn’t a “one size fits all” exercise regime. David talks to you, listens to your aims and goals as well as what you do and don’t enjoy and tailors the sessions to suit the individual. There is an emphasis on kick boxing moves but this shouldn’t put anyone off as you don’t need to be a martial arts expert (trust me I am proof of that!) to enjoy these and to gain real benefits from them. I come away from each session absolutely exhausted with no energy left, but with a real sense of achievement and I think that’s what you want from exercise isn’t it? The sessions are always fun but challenging too and David records what is being done so that improvement can be tracked and measured. Whilst this is mostly a good thing it can be frustrating when trying to beat your last best time! I can honestly say that getting in touch with David is one of the best things I have ever done. I started training with Dave when my sister who had been going for over a year asked me to go along to her lesson. At that point despite trying my usual home workouts nothing was shifting the baby bulge! I went along and haven’t stopped since! With children at home it is so difficult to find the time and motivation to exercise effectively and the gym is just so demotivating especially if you aren’t sure what you are doing. I find lessons with Dave motivating and fun. I love the fact that every lesson is different and the results speak for themselves. I recommend personal training with Dave to anyone who needs a good motivator and you get to learn kickboxing too! More...

David trains my eldest son who has Down syndrome. With both me and his dad working full time and also having 2 other children we struggled to have any spare time to take him to the gym which he really enjoyed. After searching for a local personal trainer I came across elemental fitness. To my delight David not only seemed interested in what we wanted from Daniels sessions he also had previous experience with training people with special needs. Dan has been training with David now for nearly 2 years, he attends twice a week to the studio and really enjoys it! He has gained confidence in himself, also kickboxing techniques and weight loss. David has the patience and drive to push Daniel for the results he is wanting. I would recommend David to anyone who wants a friendly but also motivated trainer, who is really good at their job! My husband and I wanted to get our children interested in a hobby they would enjoy whilst keeping fit and healthy at the same time. Kickboxing has ticked all those boxes plus many more. My son and daughter train together with David once a week and they absolutely love it. My son lacked confidence before starting the kickboxing sessions but the sessions he has with David have really helped him. After being told I had high blood pressure at Christmas 2011, I decided to contact David Kenyon at Elemental fitness who I had heard of through a friend. My diary through work is tight and I have the added bonus of 2 Children to help bath and bed on a night and entertain on a weekend. Through discussion with David I found a spare hour to train on a Thursday morning once a week. I explained my goals of losing weight/lowering my blood pressure and started kick boxing training the same week. The one to one training is mixed up each week and the results are almost instant with a great feeling of achievement after each session. Now June 2012, 6 months in to training I have achieved my goals and much more. The self defence aspect is an added bonus to the fitness and something I wish I had started sooner. More...

After a two year break from training I was keen to find a trainer who could give me the right balance of motivation and ‘beasting’ to get myself back into shape and regain my previous technical ability. David has been great, by focussing on my goals, his programme has the right balance of cardio workout and kickboxing training all set within a fully equipped gym. As my technique has improved the workouts have evolved to keep them interesting and challenging. Personally I prefer personal training to joining daunting classes; particularly for martial arts which can be a very masculine and testosterone filled environment. David is always welcoming and reassuring and I can even bring my own tunes to train to! More...

A few years back I climbed Mount Kilimanjaro and was incredibly fit, but going to university has led to unhealthy eating habits and laziness. After attending a series of group sessions on self-defence, three of us approached David to set up bespoke, on-going sessions. David provides ongoing support and is enthusiastic. He gives us a work-out, but is respectful and adapts his approach to suit our individual abilities. The sessions are varied and David engages with what we need. As an example he developed a combined weight-loss/weight-gain, fitness and self-defence programme. David is professional and knowledgeable and combines this with a client-centred approach and shared responsibility. I have been training with David for almost a year now; I came to David wanting to improve my core fitness to go along side me going to elemental kickboxing. David’s sessions are always challenging which that is what you need to reach your goals. David is always making sure I’m happy with the workouts he sets and making sure I am happy with what I am getting out of our sessions. There is always change in the sessions with david as when my grading are coming up for kickboxing we incorporate some techniques to work on, on a one to one basis. I started my personal training with Elemental three months ago as a way of getting myself back into some semblance of fitness after too many years of relative inactivity. The sessions have been fantastic. Dave knows just how far to push me to keep me at the optimum limit and he’s kept it all interesting and varied. The kickboxing, which is new to me, has become a really enjoyable way of working out and I feel more confident around the punch bag every week. I started training with David two years ago after becoming unhappy with the amount of weight I’d put on. He worked with me on a weekly basis to build up my fitness levels and offered guidance and advice on my diet. Since then I have lost over 4 stone moving from obese to a healthy weight and I now have a more active lifestyle. The sessions are always varied and tough, are flexible around my other commitments and he has recently moved into a new purpose built gym which offers more space and different training options. I would like to this opportunity to recommend Davis and Elemental fitness. I have been a client of David’s for approximately 2 and a half years. I decided to try using a personal trainer after attempts to motivate myself at the gym failed. The physical and mental gains I have made whilst working with David have been fantastic. One of the first things I noticed with David was his attention to detail. I was carefully explained the how’s and whys of each exercise as well as the benefits of each. Questions asked about diet, health or exercise technique are always answered completely in a clear concise manor. His knowledge of physical fitness, health and kick boxing has helped me overcome back, knee and shoulder issues. I was introduced to David through a friend. The facilities are excellent and are private and secure. David is a fantastic tutor who is well qualified. He measures your progress and can tailor your needs to the training sessions. They are immensely rewarding and hard work but you start to feel the results immediately. I have lost weight, and my fitness has gone through the roof! I also attend the kickboxing club and my training is around this martial art. The lessons take place in our private gym in Bramley, Leeds, helping you feel comfortable and relaxed during your sessions. At this venue we have all the equipment you need to develop your skills and reach your targets. All of the personal training sessions are tailored to your specific needs and goals. Every lesson is different to keep you motivated and excited about attending your next session. Each lesson pushes you to maximise your potential outcome, whether this be to improve fitness, build muscle, lose weight, gain weight or body toning. The intensity of lessons gradually increases as the weeks go by, leaving you feeling great after each session. An induction lesson can be arranged at a discount rate of only £20.00. At the induction you can expect to see the facilities, discuss your aims and targets with the personal trainer Leeds, and have an induction into kickboxing if applicable.
