We bought a house. When you buy a house it comes with all sorts of surprises. Some good ("oh, that is cool") some not so good ("yuck, that is gross"). Turns out the carpets that came with the house fell into the that is gross category. Very much in the that is gross category. Completely in the that is gross category. Contacted Ed at Elegent/Elegence Flooring two days after we moved in. He brought his mobile showroom to our house that evening and talked to us about options. We picked out what we wanted and most importantly told him the work would have to be done before the furniture arrived the next week. Ed's price was very competitive and lower per SF compared to the big box store we had visited the day before. Ed and his crew (Brett, Randy and Brandon) did an amazing job installing the carpet and meeting our deadline. They showed up when they said they would and worked fast. We used Elegant Flooring to replace our two main level bedrooms with hardwood floors. We are so happy with how they turned out! The crew was super nice, courteous, and eager to please. Since my floors had to be stained to match existing Flooring that was refinished some 18 years before, they consulted with me multiple times to make sure I was happy with the results. Additionally the attention to detail was amazing. They lined up the floor with the existing hallway floor AND they gave us the ratio used for the stain. For our flooring project, we solicited bids from four different highly-reputable vendors. Elegant Flooring was by far the clear winner, and they came through in spades. Not only were they the best priced, but they were communicative, responsible, accountable, and professional during the entire process. During the initial consultation, Ed asked several insightful questions to help us narrow our options and proposed considerations none of the other vendors we brought in mentioned. Ed and his team were professional and the work was completed in the time promised. The flooring is absolutely beautiful! It was (to me) a complicated job because we exposed hardwood flooring that had been covered by carpet for 30+ years. There were places to patch with new flooring where the kitchen island had old linoleum under the carpeting plus 2 areas which had to be patched due to a previous-owner's construction process. We hired Elegant Flooring to refinish our wood floors since they were a little old and stained in spots. In the process there was one stain on the floor that they couldn't get out. Ed and his team found the perfect wood to match our floors and replaced the boards that were stained perfectly. Our floors are over 60 years old and he was able to match it so well you can't tell that they are new pieces. His team was quick, friendly, clean, and efficient, and the price was perfect.
