I'm from California so I grew up on El Pollo Loco. Sadly I've learned Texans don't like much food that is different. This is not Tex Mex. Far from it. It's more Authentic. Which isn't appreciated in this state. We've had a couple of Californian spots open up in Texas and close down . I hope El Pollo Loco can make enough to stay . My family and I love it. Tried for the first time and got the chicken crispers. Don't worry about the sauces they offer you for dipping......go right for the spicy avocado sauce at the salsa bar!
