I've seen some pool reviews of this wonderful restaurant because of service alone, and while that's important, it's not fair to all the other people that work in a place. We got here, despite it being very busy, we were seated in less than five minutes, we were served quickly, our server was extremely attentive, and answer every single question. She answered every question I had about gluten free foods, and make sure that I didn't get any items sauces with hidden flour or wheat in them. The complementary chips and salsa were terrific, they give you a choice of three really delicious sauces. A lot of people like to skip directly to the extra hot stuff when having their chips n' dip, but even the mild ones here are really flavorful. For my main, I had two green corn tamales, and they were magnificent. The melted cheese sauce on top of them was so remarkably delicious! If I weren't totally stuffed, I think I could've definitely been happy with another tamale and that amazing sauce.It's tough to trust reviewers that post one star reviews of a place on service alone. There are a lot of components that make up a good food experience. It's important to look at all of that! The decor and ambiance is beautiful with a pond in the center filled with turtles,koi and ducks. Great place to take children because they can feed the ducks with bird seed purchased at the hostess desk and run around in the feeding area safely. We go frequently and the quality of the food has never wavered. The staff too have always been courteous and welcoming. Evenings are very romantic. Always best to get a reservation for late afternoons and evenings and at least 2 hours in advance and ask for pond side ( they have outdoor heaters ) or inside overlooking the pond if a view of the pond is important. I absolutely love El Encanto!!! One of the "must have" places to go when I visit Cave Creek!! The Pollo Fundito is best I've ever had, literally! ! The margaritas are awesome and the outdoor courtyard seating is amazing year round. I would highly recommend El Encanto to anyone that wants a real taste of some authentic food from south of the border. The service is great and the the very attentive staff makes sure that your drinks are always full and that you food comes out fast. Best Mexican restaurant within 15 miles of me.  Lovely outdoor setting with a pond and fairy lights on the trees for those on the patio.  Some nights have a lovely guitarist. Came in around 1:00 for lunch and was able get a spot for 6 right away. Restaurant had a good vibe with outdoor heaters and fireplaces around to keep everyone warm in late November. Grabbed a prickly pear margarita on the rocks which was a unique experience. Sweet but not overly flavorful. Overall the food was pretty good. Not incredible, but was tasty and hot comparably.
